These are comparatively credible sources, making very public statements, and I assume they would be held accountable, both in the public, and other places, if they were found to be misleading.
These aren't late-night radio talk show hosts or armchair physicists blathering on about psychics, Bigfeet, or lizard men. These are decorated members and former members of our military and intelligence communities making these claims with the receipts to back it up. I don't think people realize (understandably so) that the mere fact this whole discussion got a hearing in the first place means there's a significant amount of merit to these men's testimonies. This wouldn't go before Congress if it was all just hoaxes or bunk. There is something going on here with enough significance to require a House committee to investigate it bipartisanly without hesitation or stigma. That should be shocking to everyone.
