What are you reading/last book you read
One of my NYR was to start reading more so I have.
Last book read was Nat Geo's Ultimate Field Guide to Photography- I got this just to learn some basics about photography. Was a pretty good read helped me out a little bit. I skipped over some chapters like the ones on cell phone cameras, printing pictures, scanning pictures and archiving photos.
Started reading The Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne. So far so good only into chapter 4 I think.

I'm currently reading Beowulf (technically a poem, but close enough) for my mythology class.
I'd read more often, but I've eaten up all the books I have at hand that interest me already.

Book called WAR, by Sebastian Junger. Very interesting inside-view of the war in the middle east.
Very real, very raw.

Wicked action and some refurbished standard sci-fi tropes get refined and feel new again. Read it.

Re: What are you reading/last book you read
Right now I'm re-reading the two Blackest Night books: "Blackest Night" and "Blackest Night: Green Lantern" I got for Christmas.
I just finished Jeff Dunham's book: "All by Myselves". It's a great autobiography and every once in awhile the puppets offer commentary on the events that Jeff just wrote about. If you like Jeff Dunham, I recommend it.

I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

Re: What are you reading/last book you read
Halo: Cryptum. I just started it but it seems good so far. I personally like the halo books as the combination of ground and space combat exciting. Especially when they pull off something in space thats awesome. Ex. Firing about a couple hundred nukes at a dwarf star to ignite its gasses for fusion. The resulting explosion, while suicide, took out 200 ships. Talk about going out with a bang. This story though is not from Cryptum but Essential Tales of the Halo Universe. The Impossible life and possible death of Adimiral Cole chapter.
"...A great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it, and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient, and you hold still, then maybe... Just maybe... It will come to you."

Don't try to be something else. Don't try to be less. Great things are going to happen in your life. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility.

Re: What are you reading/last book you read
Just finished A Journey to the Centre of the Earth today and it was pretty good. I must say this is the fastest I've read a book that long, it took me a month to the date to finish though I powered through the last 150 pages or so.
As soon as my library gets it in I have a hold on Dr. Michio Kaku's Physics of the Future. From what've read about the books it's a glance into possible technologies up to the year of 2100 including contact lenses that could stream the internet. This should be in next week because the book was released on the 15th and my library has it on order.
In the meantime I'll probably thumb through my magazines or guide books for Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Quest IX.
