^ I'm not saying that can't build a giant robot. What I am saying is that he can't built a giant robot that would actually stand more than two hits against Godzilla, let alone actually have a chance to hurt Godzilla.

It would be like if Gaira grow to the same size as King Ghidorah to fight him. Sure, he may be the same height as him, but that doesn't mean there's any chance in hell that he could hurt King Ghidorah.

On top of that, almost all of those things that apply to Batman happened after he career took off. You know, in the 80s and 90s? When people started to take him seriously? This movie would have come out in the 60s, where none of that stuff applied, and the best that Batman had was Bat-Shark Repellant.

Batman maybe a badass now, but nobody took him seriously back in the 60s.

If the plot dictates that Batman can build a giant robot, then the robot is capable of standing up to Godzilla. Jet Jaguar, as far as I can gather, wasn't supposed to be anything more then a fucking giant toy who greeted people at the door yet it turned out to also be a spectacular fighting machine. It's not different then King Kong also being able to eat electricity; we except and embrace it as both a plot convenience and as an element of this particular incarnation of the character. In this particular universe, this giant gorilla can om-nom on high tension wires for power. In a Batman vs. Godzilla universe, Batman's (theoretical) robot would be built strong enough to withstand direct combat.

Also, Batman fought tons of gonzo shit in the fifties and sixties.

Him fighting a dinosaur with a robot suit would be exceptionally normal compared to becoming 2-dimensional or fighting a collapsible robot from a giant space seed. Batman has always been a fucking badass.

What Batman fails to realize is that he and Robin are ALWAYS 2 dimensional people. Also, they're not completely flat. So even by in universe standards he's wrong.

What? Being flattened by the green aura emitted by a rainbow colored beast in Mexico seems absurd to you?

I imagine it would have been a Japanese actor.

I ABSOLUTELY want to see Adam West Batman fighting Godzilla. I mean right now. Somebody give the man a call, I'm sure he can take a break from doing Family Guy voice-acting to duke it out with Godzilla.

Akira Kubo would make a good Batman.

The hell? who wouldn't want to see Adam West battle Godzilla, if this was made.

Realistically though, Batman would have probably been played by a Japanese actor.

I'll gladly eat crow if it doesn't turn out that way....but at this point it feels painfully obvious, as it has for months.

He was most likely fired, dumped, shot, stabbed, stubbed his toe, fell out of a window, was killed by the fall, and then resuscitated by one of wataru's ex girlfriends. Image

It's the only logical explanation.

Back on topic, I would've loved to have seen this movie. Although I have NO idea how Goji would've been defeated.. Unless Godzilla built some sort of electricity shooting mecha.

I can imagine Adam West saying something like "Quick Robin! To the Bat-MechaGodzilla!"

It got destroyed by an RPG armed Joker. :?
Yeah, but the Joker is awesome. Somebody else shooting such a weapon might have had different results.

Not to further diverge the thread, but things need to be seen from a storytelling perspective. Batman's vehicle being destroyed by the bad guy is what that scene is about. The means that make it happen could swap, but the concept would remain the same. It's very similar to Burton's Batman, that has Joker gunning down the Batwing with a single shot.

It's what the plot required at the moment.
