It's honestly one of the few Toku tropes they had yet to cover with their original characters so I hate to see it dismissed as "they didn't get the rights".

I mean of course it's an homage to the sentai combiner stuff but also the latter point there hasn't been any statement. Just people saying how hard/complicated it is to obtain the license for Power Rangers.

It was an error that they didn't get to push out the fix for until the new update cuz they were focused on the mighty pack.

Because different companies operate differently? Them having Godzilla and Ultraman doesn't mean they can just get anything they want.

My point is that the game is built off of tokusatsu knock offs, they are the entire reason the game exists. A dlc of off brand sentai/rangers' characters is poor evidence towards any statements regarding successful or unsuccessful licensing of pr/ss characters, because this dlc was likely planned regardless.

Yeah I feel like it's just a cynical view on people's part to look at an homage pack and immediately assume they didn't get the license.

It's most likely due to the region issue. Between Super Sentai and Power Rangers it's probably a bit more of regional licensing nightmare then we realize.

Fair, but at the same time those characters were in the game from the jump, there was no dlc so that's not exactly the best evidence of the contrary either. My point is the Zord is pretty on the nose in terms of looking like a Sentai/Rangers Zord, which obviously is the point, (Right down to the music played in the teaser for the DLC) which leads me to think that if we are getting that as a license dlc, it's probably not going be anytime soon, imagine if Rawa was a DLC and the next DLC was Godzilla it'd be a little silly.
