Lost Project Discussion: Godzilla Forever

Post by vastatosaurus »

Futuristic GODZILLA reboot I developed with whoever was holding the US rights at the time (I’ve forgotten)… several years before Gareth showed up and created the version that laid the foundation for Legendary’s current monsterverse…

Ooooh, must be a recent discovery! Never heard anything about this movie till now.

Sounds like it would've been another movie to go for the plot of following 54 and ignoring the rest.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

This movie could have become the first American movie in which 1954 was incorporated into the same universe, which would have been interesting.

An American film in which the events of G54 is canon. Surprise that hasn’t happened yet.

We've only had two American Godzilla series. You can debate the events of 54 happened in 98 due to GMK.
Mothra vs Godzilla> Gojira

I have theory. Eldery fishermen interrogated by Reno actually was in Tokio lub Odo during events of 1954. Due the radiation, there are very little, if any, photo /film evidences of Gojira existence, and his entire body was decomposed by Oxygen Destroyer. Because of that humans who was't there, started consider Gojira as some sort of urban legend added to real huricane or earthquake.
