Board Styles Discussion

This will act as a megathread for forum styles while also noting when a new style is introduced. Screenshots are shown below as well to get a quick preview. Once enough have been added I will introduce a poll, as was done before.

Changing your board style is done by clicking your account and then "User Control Panel". From here go to "Board Preferences" and this will let you change your forum style.

Hmm... hadn't really thought about a Hedorah one, although something around the sludge aspect could be fun. Will give it some thought.

Anyway, just noting that a SpaceGodzilla style was added. This is the first dark style added, and one that is built to be more mobile friendly (the crystal design in the header shrinks the smaller the display screen is).

I just added Rodan and it only had 12.

Not all of them will return, but we'll see how my efforts go as I work on more of these.

Man the Kiryu style looks awesome but also kinda throws me off. Not just because i prefer the forums stretched out, but i honestly thought the blinking lights were a glitch at first.

Kiryu looks really good. If there was a chance I'd change from the Monsterverse Godzilla style, I'd change it to that.

Am I the only one who thinks the blinking frequency is too high? I think it should be slowed down, otherwise I don't think I'd use this theme as it is too distracting.

I'm really liking the new Kiryu look, the art on top is a treat and the colours go really well. Only downside is the blinking messages, makes me feel self-concious about how inactive I am, lol.

I'm gonna agreee the blinking lights need to be slowed. Do that, and Kiryu might be the main board style for me!

Well seems pretty unanimous that the "unread" notifications on the Kiryu style need adjustment.

Don't scrap the animation, just slow it down a bit. It's fast pace now is just a bit too dizzying is all.

None at all, really. It's very hard on the eyes and will likely cause slightly longer slowdowns on older machines/browsers. Other than that, it's very good. I especially like the Quick Links menu location here compared to SpaceGodzilla's.

Okay I tweaked the Kiryu design so that there is no animation. If people prefer to bring it back, but much slower, I can try that instead.

Also added back the Biollante style. This one is real close to as it was on the old board, although with some minor changes.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but the Kiryu style still has the blinking icons despite the main site update saying they were removed.
