I caved and got the Missing Link Optimus Prime (animation version) as well as the repainted Hot Rod repro. Been hearing good things about both, and I’ve cleared out a ton of space this month as well so I was able to justify it.

That will probably be it for me unless Missing Link ends up doing OG Megatron (unless I’m in Australia by that point, in which case he’d be off limits). Other than that I think the only figures that would entice me would be Transmetal reissues of the figures I had growing up, or maybe some sort of retro reissue of Galvatron (if Megatron is off the table).

I'm waiting on Studio Series 86 Prime. Should drop sometime this year for the 40th anniversary of the franchise if leaks are to be believed. Hoping he'll be the definitive G1 Optimus.

Added in 11 minutes 24 seconds:
Studio Series 86 Grimlock is also getting rereleased this year in a comic books accurate color scheme.

Got BB deluxe Shockwave and he's really cute. The tank mode is probably the best a Shockwave alt model has ever looked

I've started listening to songs from the '86 soundtrack at least once a week. Absolutely inspiring I must say. It gets me so hyped to get things done
"Bang on, mate.", - Murdoc Niccals 2018.

"Right, wrong... Nobody's got a clue what the difference is in this town. So I'm gonna have more fun... and live crazier than any of 'em." - Goro Majima.

I've got the metal cover of the theme on my gym playlist. It's pretty good weight-lifting music

The movie is hardcore. I can't say I care much about the show itself or have too much interest in following it, but I loved the movie. To some degree I think it is enough for me and sort of a catch-all.

Tomorrow starts Hasbro Pulse's Transformers 40th anniversary live stream series. Studio Series 86 Prime will likely get officially revealed soon.

Saw the Legacy G2 Grimlock today (yellow one) and thought it looked really cool. As I don’t know enough about the various TF lines and sizes (save for the two reissue ones I got), does anyone know if there is a good Megatron to go alongside that figure? Like if they did a similar G2 tank version in that scale or if anything like that is upcoming for the anniversary.

Closest thing would be the Generations Selects G2 Megatron from a few years ago. Nothing greater than that yet.

Thanks for the info! Is that the same mold as the upcoming three pack version I’m seeing around?Image

Might have to wait and see if they reissue this one at a more affordable price (or more desirable color).

Yep, they're both from the Earthrise Megatron mold.

Found the Studio Series Snarl while running errands at Target. I never do this, but made an impulse purchase and brought it home with me. What a cool figure- the yellow Grimlock is definitely tempting now.

I've been making such good progress on downsizing my Godzilla collection (sold almost 20 items this past month alone) but now I'm being bitten by the Transformers bug. I already have three of them- I've got to curb it before I add anymore!

Such a banger! Hunger is another one I love, and Instruments of Destruction is becoming one too, autobot massacre aside hahaha.

Awesome song for the gym!! Makes you feel like you can punch Unicron yourself.

Pics of Studio Series 86 Swoop are popping up online. Robot mode looks great but dinosaur mode is hit and miss.
