It can move about as much as the suit’s could from what I hear.
Gigan <3
But Gigan is a villain that prove you support only villain not hero
Wrong. The current MonsterVerse films are “kaka”. At least these classic Showa kaiju films ain’t WOKE!

$130? Man. These things just keep getting more expensive. It is gorgeous though. As other have said, the sculpt is as good as a good x-plus. Of course, it also costs the same as an x plus….

Expensive as it is, I ordered. Anything Showa is a must-purchase for me.

I'll check my options, but it's Gigan, and its SHOWA Gigan. Hard to say No to that. I'll probably keep an eye out on EKnightMedia.

I watched a review for Megagurius last night and I still want a movie accurate version of the 2000 suit. Still one of my favorite Godzilla suits.

A SHMA movie-suit Godzilla 1999/2000 is long overdue. As well as a 1984. And any further Showa suit...
With Godzilla '91 having been teased already, the only 'major' post-Shows suit still missing aside of the '84 & '99/'00 is the' 03 Tokyo SOS one with the scarred chest.

Re: Rebuild of S.H. MonsterArts 1.1 [ABRIDGED]
I'm still wondering why we don't have a 1968-1972.
Not only would it fit the new Gigan and Hedorah, but think of the repaints, Bandai!
1968 original release!
Atomic breath 1968!
Kilaak final showdown with Minilla and Kilaak base!
1969 with Minilla (1969) and beam effects for heartwarming/comedic/slightly abusive father-son lessons!
1971 with eye and hand damage, as well as the long waited flight pose display!
1972 with REAL SUIT DAMAGE! IT'S NOT SCULPTED! WE JUST LET THE ONES THAT DIDN'T SELL ROT!
IT'S A GOLDMINE!
....also I'd very much like a 1973 with the inevitable Megalon and/or Jet Jaguar

1968 suit is essentially the definitive Showa look besides some notable single/double use suits (though the 70s version could certainly be argued).
A Soshingeki Godzilla figure would pair up perfectly with more random kaiju than most other Showa suits.

I mean, the repaint options alone are staggering.

Agreed. Soshingeki is what pops to mind first when I think Showa Godzilla.

Oh, I'd love a 68-72 suit. The 73-75 may be my fav of all time, but seeing either of those two Godzilla designs would be a must for me. Lots of potential to be had with those releases.

I've done some experiments in my setup with the NECA poster color one as a sub for the 'proper' suit, and while it certainly does make the pictures colors pop more than usual, it doesn't quite do the job as most people would think of it...

That's a great diorama for being cobbled together out of odds and ends. Where did you get the train? It does seem like a 68-72 Goji is really noticeably absent at this point. I would love to get that one. The 1962 is pre-"hero" Godzilla, and the 1964 is far too under-sized for Hedorah/Mechagodzilla (and presumably Gigan).

Re: Rebuild of S.H. MonsterArts 1.1 [ABRIDGED]
Let's be fair. A lot of Showa is still noticeably absent. At this point, over 11 years later the count is three Godzillas, Mechagodzilla, Hedorah and Gigan. 6 monsters. Going off that, I'm not sure why everyone is convinced a 1968-1972 Godzilla is coming. A 1974 version certainly didn't join Mechagodzilla. And even if they did one (which would be cool, don't get me wrong) I wouldn't count on variants. A lot of us assumed they'd get a lot of re-use out of that Mechagodzilla and they never did.
I dont believe a toy line that has avoided the Showa series like the plague for over a decade is going to do things like a battle damaged 1971 Godzilla. A single 1968 figure would be a miracle all by itself.
