Has there ever been a time a certain monster was portrayed in a match in such a way that it stood out to you? If so, discuss it here. What was you’re favorite/least favorite ways a combatant was written in a match?

Bagan in 190 and 206, for both delivering actually interesting depictions of him with well-written character.

The KOTM trio in match 275, all three were written wonderfully while keeping in line with their depictions in the movie without feeling like direct 1:1 copies.

Orga in 185, don’t think there needs to be too much explanation for this one.

Monster X in 290, for both properly feeling like the threat he should be and actually being cleverly written at the same time.

Zone Fighter all throughout Greyshot’s series, gives the character an intriguing and compelling pathos he severely lacks in ZF (the series) proper.

Jikiro in 294 immediately comes to mind, really enjoyed his depiction in that match. Glad he wasn't just some pushover and actually put up an entertaining fight with some great tactics.

While there's certainly a good number of depictions, first that comes to my mind is 297. Love the characterization for both Gamera and Armored Titan in that. Their sense of duties conflict with each other and leads to great stuff.

Bagan from the very first "Everyone vs./vs. Everyone" match was a great depiction, being this unstoppable force a god should be as opposed to the very beatable god he would be from that moment onwards (a few instances not withstanding).

King Ghidorah (Rebirth of Mothra III) in Matches 56 and 79. Thomas outdid himself writing such a masterful depiction of the King of Terror.

Attack Titan and Armored Titan in 318. Not only were Eren and Shikishima excellently written as characters, the two Titans very much felt like their anime counterparts in terms of gravitas and badassery.

Colossal Titan in 315 for similar reasons.

Dagarha in 280, loved how he properly felt like a true threat to the Earth and a kaiju that could handle someone of Leo’s caliber.

Reviving this thread to say I really liked Hedorah's portrayal in 390. It was great to see the smog monster as a serious threat, and even the main villain in such a large match.

The Mutant squad and Red King in 355. Loved all of the mutants slowly gaining respect for Zilla and C-Rex and King Cobra putting their lives on the line to save him. Loved how Red King also wasn't just depicted as a savage brute, but a monster who believed everyone should suffer as much as he did.

Mechani-Kong in his first match
