Made a post on Reddit that got 2000 upvotes. So that's neat.

Nothing makes my day than gorging myself in a giant batch of seafood!

First day of a week off. And I'm on a shoot tomorrow. Needed both severely.

Im one of those weird people who despises fish but will eat any form of shellfish in a heartbeat. Lobsters, shrimp, oyster, crab, calamari, scallops, just give it to me now!

This happened yesterday for me but still made my day yesterday as well as today. So FanDuel has a free to mini game where you get three spins each day, where you match symbols to win free play in the online casino. Well, I saved up my money and had about $60 in free play and decided to play that and ended up winning $2000. That's the most I've ever won on anything, and it was pretty awesome. Just got the funds in my account today.

As for what I'm going to do with it, I'm going to put it towards some bills, and I think I'm going to get one of the new 27" OLED monitors announced from LG or Asus. I'm leaning more towards the LG model since it'll be cheaper but need more information on both before deciding.
Proud owner of a Xbox Series X, Switch OLED and PS5.

Yesterday, but I got to go on a nice date night with my lady as well as going shopping together, where I ran into my old manager (not the one who sucked, the one who was absolutely amazing).

On top of my Deforeal Gigan arriving, my car just got done in the garage and cost a great deal less than I was expecting to pay and had put to the side for it. Thought for sure I was going to need at least some work done, but it came out of inspection with just some basic, small fixes. Might need a new tire or two in the coming months, but nothing major or catastrophic wrong... Which is a change of pace. Every other car I've needed to get some hefty work done within two years of having it paid off.

I've written three decently long short stories over the past couple of months (about 5000-8000 a pop). I've been editing them, drafting them, and submitting them to publications. While they've all been rejected, by multiple publications with varying standards I've gotten used to rejections as part of the process, and I feel proud to be writing and actually get rejections. It means I've put myself out there as a writing. Best of all, despite the rejections I'm still personally pleased with the stories I've written, and an inner circle of people that I communicate with daily like my work and are entertained by it so I'm pleased.

Unfortunately I can't share them on here now, because many publications want exclusitivity (not being posted online and being read more by a very small handful of people), but if this all fails in a couple of years maybe I'll post them here.

That's not what made my day though. Today I sat down and wrote 2000 words. The more I'm writing daily and as a process the easier it is to sit down and actually write. I feel like a proper author/writer already, just need to actually start getting stuff published...which is exceedingly impossible! I feel very lucky to be able to have the life where I can afford to devote a few hours a day to writing. :D

^ Hey, even if you are getting rejected, at least you're trying. That's what counts. You're making the effort and you have the confidence to put your work out there and go somewhere with it. I assume you get some kind of feedback when your stories get rejected, right? Constructive criticism so you understand where you went wrong?
