Re: Random Godzilla/Kaiju Fanart
Not finished, but I started drawing Godzilla 1954. So far, Im on hour two for today, but my hand started locking up so I figured I needed a break. Id like to say I'll draw every suit in this style, if my ADHD lets me, but chances are I'll get bored with this project in a week and move on to something else.

My most wanted fight ever is Discord vs Bobobo-bo bo-bobo.
Godzilla has a regen like Wolverine, a skin like Luke Cage, a hero aura like Captain America, a strength like Hulk, an unstoppability like Juggernaut, an immortality like Deadpool.
There's a 'God' in Godzilla for a reason...

You have no idea how much I relate to this. I'll sculpt a figure of a certain design and I'll be like "watch this I'll complete the set" and then I never do.Executive Hamster wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 1:04 pm Id like to say I'll draw every suit in this style, if my ADHD lets me, but chances are I'll get bored with this project in a week and move on to something else.

Ahaha. Nothing says "artist" like starting a hundred different projects and then a hundred more without finishing the first setDirektorSplennic wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 1:07 pmYou have no idea how much I relate to this. Case in point: I haven't touched this Godzilla 1954 project since I posted that XDKingKong2005 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 1:16 pmAhaha. Re: Random Godzilla/Kaiju Fanart
I'm working on this picture of the Shin Humanoids if they left Godzilla's tail. My plan is to have Godzilla still frozen in the background but these guys are wreaking havoc. I love these little bastards and would love to see some kind of Shin Godzilla continuation like a Manga or short, just to see what these guys would look like in action. I only drew the first one so far, no background or other tail children yet.

God I love his stuff so much. Art Adams and Matt Frank are my artistic role models. I dream of one day having a fraction of their talent.

How Adams is able to blend classic designs with a modern sensibility is really remarkable.

Re: Random Godzilla/Kaiju Fanart
To be completely honest, I'm not too big on his covers he did for Kingdom Kong and Godzilla Dominion. Just looks a bit too rough and hard to look at, which isn't what the actual comics look like. Am I the only one who prefers smooth looking, detailed, near photoreal art as opposed to (equally as amazing) harder looking line art? Not trying to tear him down, this is great stuff, but curious if anyone else agrees?

Re: Random Godzilla/Kaiju Fanart
I find photorealism boring. It definitely requires talent, for sure, but at a certain point you might as well just take photos. Stylization is just more visually interesting.
