Can Kiryu's oral maser cannon be written to slowly power King Kong (Showa) up? Like, maybe it starts out hurting him really bad, but then the more Mecha G blasts him with it, the more it starts to energize Kong?

Especially considering his maser isn't an explosive projectile weapon?

Maybe? It isn’t electricity though, but weaponized Microwave Rays, which is why it weakens in the rain. Microwave radiation heats up water molecules which is how microwave ovens work, which due to the rain draws out and weakens the output of a maser as it goes through each droplet of water.

It’s from War of the Gargantuas. You do realize Maser is short for “microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation”, just like how the L in Laser stands for Light.

Unfortunately I did not know that. While I’ve heard a lot about it, I haven’t seen War of the Gargantuas yet.

I'd say 2nd and 3rd can't, their minds / abilities aren't as developed that them using their tails to grasp would be feasible. However, 4th form I'm generally okay with; between it's length and 4th's ability to use it to slide around, I'm okay with 4th and 5th (the latter do have tails, just really thin from what's observed) using prehensile tails.

As Birdman said--no. What does happen is that Gamera's elbow blades do evolve / curve gradually over the course of the movies... Something I never picked up on before, or at least didn't fully pay attention to. However, what I think you might be thinking of is Gamera 3's tiny little undergrown / residual 6th finger that lies right in the wrist area.
