Nope on 4K. I'm told it's a very high-quality release that preserves the IMAX aspect ratio and does the movie justice, so that's cool. Definitely recommend Nope to anyone who hasn't seen it. Don't base your expectations on the lame trailer.

mikelcho, why do you keep doing this? If you get something new mention JUST THAT. Those big quoted walls of text are pointless because it's hard to tell what's different about them.

Mikecho, as I mentioned in the other thread, if you have an update please just post it, rather than continuing to quote yourself. It's cumbersome to look at multiple lines of quotations like that. Literally just copy and paste your old message.

Do you already have Cinema Yakuza Vol. 2, or do you still need that volume? And is this set only a trilogy, or are there more volumes after no. 3?

I do not own Cinema Yakuza Vol. 2. That one is dedicated to Kinji Fukasaku's Battles Without Honor and Humanity series.

There is also Cinema Yakuza Vol. 4. That one contains: Graveyard of Honor (1975); Graveyard of Honor (2002); Modern Yakuza: Outlaw Killer (1972); Detective Bureau 2-3: Go to Hell, Bastards! (1963); Violent Streets (1974); and Big Time Gambling Boss (1968).

So there's four volumes all, AFAICS, you've got all but Volume 2. enjoy!

Btw, what genre (or genres) are all these films?

The Rebirth of Mothra trilogy on Blu-ray. It was selling on Amazon.com for $14. Pretty good deal for three kaiju flicks that I haven't watch in, like, a little over 10 years.

Bought the Blu Ray for Legend of Dinosaurs and Monster Birds. I consider this film to be one of the worst kaiju films of all time but I want it for completionist sake.

I also recently bought the 4K KK vs G (62) but unfortunately the disc would play correctly on my PS5. Luckily the seller gave me a full refund.

We're nearing year's end. What toku stuff did I get on disc in '23?

Less home video releases this year in general, but with several major theatrical releases it's hard to complain! Picked up several Toei hero shows with Kamen Riders Ryuki (from Shout!), Black, Black RX, and Space Sheriff Gavan (from Discotek - can't wait for more from them). Got the last few Mill Creek Ultraman releases and filled in my collection with the three or four other Ultra sets of there's I hadn't picked up yet.

I'm not even gonna count Cleopatra's Shin Ultraman disc!

Have preorders for SRS's The Whale God and the new Yokai War film as well as Taven Banner's Shin Ultraman. Those will be showing up pretty soon!

... oh, and I added Wangmagwi to my Whale God preorder, so I'll get that when I get the other!
