Oh that’s easy, I’ve said it before. A Glow G’84 would absolutely break my will power. And after seeing the sculpts in person a glow ‘89 or MinusGoji probably would too. But it’s highly unlikely I’d ever get deep into the ReAction line. Like so many, Bandai vinyl are my bread and butter. And with the quality they’ve been pumping out (both in sculpt and kaiju choice) the last few years they’ll remain my primary collection for years to come. Heck, it’s gonna take me years just to catch up on what’s already been released and I’m not even a completist.Fermix wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 2:16 pmIt sounds like the right kaiju might push you over the edge. You don't need another Godzilla or Mechagodzilla, but what about Gargantuas? Kamoebas? What's your vice?canofhumdingers wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 12:43 pm I’ve avoided getting into ReActions. I didn’t particularly care for them when they were first announced and I just don’t need MORE to collect…
My kids have a couple of them and I’ll admit they’re nicer than I thought they would be (but still very much overpriced). One they have is the glow in the dark dancing Godzilla ‘65 from Monster Zero which glows extremely well, and I’m a total sucker for good GitD toys. So I was tempted to look at just collecting GitD ReActions but I see I missed out on some major players (MechaGodzilla, King Ghidorah, etc.) and so abandoned that idea quickly.
Yesterday I happened to see the Minus One and ‘89 Godzilla ReActions in Walmart and I was genuinely surprised at how good the sculpts are. I feel like they’ve made some significant improvements to the sculpt quality. Again was rather tempted to take them home with me but the sticker shock ($40 for two 4 inch figures?) was enough to keep me in check.
Just some random thoughts I guess. They keep trying to suck me into this line but I’ve been able to resist so far.![]()
But I could definitely be tempted to have a little set of glow reactions.
