I literally just received my Hiya Godzilla Evolved yesterday & of course they immediately announce their updated version lol

That being said, I do like the figure alot. I'm satisfied with my purchase & I will also pre-order the updated/Heat Ray version. It wouldn't be the first time I've gotten multiple versions of (essentially) the same figure lol

I think I'm in the same boat but my figure is currently "shipping" last time I checked.

I think each have their merit, I'll just have one for my work office while the heat ray sits in my home office.

Though to avoid other changes, I think I'm now going to just order Hiya figures when they are close to release going forward.

I received my Godzilla Evolved from Kowkis, and it’s very impressive. On top of being accurate to the film model, Hiya made a number of internal design improvements that greatly improve Godzilla’s articulation compared to previous Hiya Godzillas. I would go so far as to say that this is Hoya’s best work yet.

Oh yeah. Use a hair dryer to soften the joint and it should be easier. Took me a while to get the tail on.

Yeah it took a bit for both of them. Using a hairdryer to really get them hot was necessary.

Well, I guess Hiya is getting more of my money. So many cools things here. Definitely getting Monster X, Behemoth, Tiamat, Warbat, and considering Skar King.

This is an incredible lineup. Skar King and Behemoth are standouts.

Hiya really needs to do Mechagodzilla to round out the Monsterverse main cast. I’m surprised they are sitting on that one given he’s bound to sell well.

I've been trying to decide if I'm going to pre-order Godzilla Evo, or wait for some kind of redeco. It seems like they really like making those, and the figure as-is has sort of off paint on the spines that's not grabbing me. Though, I don't wanna risk them not making an Evo again.

The new inclusions are pretty good. I don't own any Hiya stuff yet (can't get away from Gundam Robot Spirits). But I will most definitely do my best to get a few.

But why did they have an unpainted prototype of KiryuGoji? I thought that one was already completed.

Did not expect them to tackle Monster X at this stage. Can't wait to see the BG paint apps when finalized, but, as some have said, why buy when he'll have another release shortly afterward with beam, smoke, etc.? With Hiya these days, it's a legitimate question.

Be nice if Tiamat had a sub too...

I nearly fainted when I saw this lineup last night. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic...that's really all I can say. Long wait for them all? Sure but...why's that bad again?

That is a lineup. Behemoth getting a high-end figure like this is hilarious, and I really didn't expect the Warbat to get one, either. Very cool.

That Skar King is deginitely going to be mine, since the SHMA one was kind of underwhelming. I hope they get his scale right...

Same with the other Monsterverse characters. It's really funny how we will likely have figures of so many 3rd row monsters (Behemoth, Skullcrawler No. 10, Warbat, Scylla, Tiamat) before Mechagodzilla and male MUTO, who both are main villains.

Original prototype was maybe their most lambasted figure for blatantly being a retool of 2000's mold.

This is the offical reveal of the completely redone and more accurate sculpt the figure will have on release.
