Sigma will also probably have army assists. Also Eggman if one of his mechs gets added.

And now as a nice bit for the day, optimized the Announced Combatants Page with collapsible bars. Massive thanks to GigaBowserG for the coding help with this one! So hopefully it and future additions will look a lot nicer without the likes of Optimus, Bender, or Beast Boy being page hogs. ;)

Finally finished with the new match, and I quite liked it. Could be a bit hard to follow with all the names but hey, that’s why web browsers have multiple tabs, so the Army Assists page is helpful to have open in another one lol. Enjoyed the action, both kaiju-wise and the scenes on the ground of the drones pursuing the kaijin. Tsunojiras and his army are depicted as quite a frightening force here, impressive that Mechagodzilla manages to come across as the underdog even as he tears them to pieces.
Spoiler:
Excited to see what’s to come of this series, now that MechaG has an army of his own. Also dug the theme of identity in this one, of both Green Mask and Mechagodzilla, created a very good contrast between the opposing forces and led to a satisfying arc for the former.

My thoughts on the past three matches.

Match 465:
Spoiler:
Was absolutely wonderful and definitely fits in the type of match I love to read. A character focused story that emphasizes on Asuka and Rei's relationship. Their interactions range from a simple breakfast to Rei revealing to Asuka she's a clone (My favorite part, by the way), and all of that is completely appealing to the eye as I read more and more of this. The MUTOs' role is brief, but they're not the point of this as they are simply an obstacle for Rei and Asuka's relationship. That, and the kills scored on them were really neat, particularly the Male MUTO getting sniped.

Oh, and nice to see Shinji in a polyship with Mari and Kowaru.
Match 466:
Spoiler:
Another fun match, focusing more on the kaiju action, but making sure our combatants are well defined in both personality and in their capabilities. Like GvR said, it was nice to Obsidious and Krystalak getting the spotlight to themselves without Spacegodzilla. However, the MUTOs and Prime stole the show with me, especially with the ending. It was really nice of Prime and the female MUTO becoming a couple in a sense. It was sweet.
Match 467:
Spoiler:
Um.... I never expected Gabara to swallow Mechagodzilla whole, ending the fight outright. That's pretty much all I need to say.

Tsunojiras is the gift that keeps on giving. This extremely obscure kaiju is one of the most of unique we have, because there's so many routes you can take with this guy and his deadly spawn. So many diverse kaijin/kaiju you can play with and this match does exactly that. It was pretty much the best way to debut Tsunojiras and I'm glad we got it.

Green Mask was a very compelling protagonist with hir's struggle on trying to find purpose in life, despite their master telling them they're useless if they can't fight. Plus, it was also nice than Green Mask got a hirself a best friend by the name of Kappaluge.

The spawn, like I said, were all great, I loved their little mannerisms and how they interacted with one another. They stole the whole show for me. Let's also not forget Gorosaurus and Kamoebas. They were troopers until they very end, they fought well.

Mechagodzilla was also nice and their self-realization that it needed all three minds to properly work together.
All in all, this month has some incredible matches.

I always appreciate the sheer creative skill of writers to take the most borderline nothing kaiju and turn them into full-fledged characters. Incredible sequel to a gut-wrenching match

Considering the Ender Dragon is immune to all enhancements, does that mean it can survive a universe halving snap?

I think that means it can’t use the Enhancements that force themselves upon it, like Viruses and Symbiotes.

Yeah. You can't give the Ender Dragon the Power Surge crystals, but if the opponent has it, she can still be harmed by them (though she can probably be resistant to some of their side effects, like the Speed Surge's slowdown). But yeah, she'd totally be vulnerable to the Snap.

I think that if people take even the lesser Kaiju and give them some thought they could manage some real upsets. Godzilla vs Ghidorah on the Antarctic ice mostly went Ghidorah's way, but when Godzilla dragged him into the water off went one of the heads. Most Kaiju aren't as multi functional as Godzilla. Fight Rodan in the water, Manda out of the water, and the dynamic changes. I just did a match with Varan. As a Triphibian he's got potential .

And so, Ace has arrived!
Spoiler:
It was a pretty decent match, I liked the last few chapters the most. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, Ace being a massive asshole isn't something I like, and for me at least it makes him kinda unlikeable? I get that's the intention but still, just a personal gripe with it. Mefilas was great, I like his whole deal and him being Goro is a cool recontextualisation of a classic Ace character. In the sequel, I'll be excited to see him and Ace work together to fight presumably Ace Killer? Ayame, Mitsuko and Chiharu are good characters and Z was very likeable.

Very well written match despite my opinions on Ace's character.

ULTRAMAN ZETT!

Anyway, this match was pretty good! Though personally I still prefer Return Of A Good Man, this is a neat way of following up on that match’s events while telling a new story focusing on Ace. While I can see why some would be turned off by his more dickish characterization, I think it helps him stand out among his brothers, and it makes sense given what he’s been through.

The main couple of hosts was pretty cute, and I found young Z to be a nice surprise going in. It’s a good start for our first New Gen Ultra, though he’s been understandably nerfed. (I liked the part where he thought “fuck off” was an attack name, that got a good laugh out of me.)

And hey, for the last match of our Pride event, this got the representation pretty down too! Ace joins up with a lesbian couple, and he’s in a poly relationship, one of his partners being a trans woman. Great stuff, and I love how it serves as a part of the story that adds to the emotional moments.

I was pretty shocked by the cliffhanger, but I can understand that this is only the first part of Ace’s story in this universe. Mefilas isn’t done with trying to get our heroes on his side yet, and Yapool keeps making his moves against the Earth. Rough times seem to be ahead.

And hey, new monster combatants too, our first Choju and the Shin Ultraman foes! Can’t wait to see how these guys get used, they seem to have some interesting moves.

I was so excited to see this and it didn't disappoint. As someone who loves complicated douches, I love this take on Ace. That bit about "everyone always betrays their loved ones eventually" got to me. I also love the set up of Yapool becoming a major threat and Mefilas wiping the floor with him for some humble pies. Not to mention great hosts, a hilariously sweet interpretation of Z, some awesome kaiju and Choju.

Simply put, another match of the year from Alex.

Alright, got finished reading! All things considered this was super fun, and a nice way to continue the story of "Return of a Good Man"
Spoiler:
I will admit, Ace being portrayed in a more jerkish light is a bit jarring, but I don't think it takes away from the story as a whole. Zett is portrayed as lovable as always, Yapool and Mefilas are menacing threats, and I think it takes the series in a good direction.
I WOULD get around to updating the Randomizer again, but something tells me we're only a day away from another announcement so maybe I'll hold off.

Really enjoyed this one! The main couple are cute in this, really liked their interactions with each other and Ace. Z getting in is a nice surprise, never expected to see him get in. Also loved how menacing Mefiles and Yapool are, can't wait too see where this go's!

Spoiler:
As someone who didn't exactly enjoy this match's predecessor from 2 years ago like most people, I find this sequel to be a massive improvement and my expectations were subverted. The action and pacing were much better and multiple combatants debuting is a huge plus. All in all, I thank you for the late Birthday present, Alex Williams.

If it’s any consolation, he seems to be warming up to his new roommates! I think him being an ass here is meant to lead us into him developing to become a more righteous character in the future, like how Jack went from complete despair to the strong hero we know him as.
