It seems this season ends just before the new movie comes out. I'm guessing we'll see Kong and Godzilla get evolution status and Shimu and SK as new units. Mothra could go either way.

I doubt we will get more retroactive evolutions, ala how it was done with Mecha-King Ghidorah. If they add them in they will just be new units, the way Super Mechagodzilla was. Sadly, there is just more money to be earned if they are new units, and Toho has started to double down on optimizing revenue lately from the game.

Is it me, or is GMK Ghidorah kinda b.s., as a unit? He can attack your leader out of their range, so your leader doesn't fight back and just dies, and if you place a unit down to defend your leader, oh, hey, GMK Ghidorah can attack them at the same time. And he's also apparently a friggin' tank (you know, the quality GMK Ghidorah is most known for), because my nearly-maxed out units have never once taken out GMK Ghidorah before he can take them out.

Neronga. 1v1, Neronga gets the first strike and absolutely stunlocks GMK Ghidorah until it drops. Strangely enough, swarms are also a nice counter to GMK since the attack power of the 3 gravity beams are split apart across multiple units. But yeah, otherwise, good luck when the defense is up!

Absolutely, positively hate GMK Ghidorah. It's not fun to fight against or use. With someone like Heisei Moguera and Gigan 04 for backup, GMK Ghidorah is quite honestly unstoppable.

Toho has embraced power creep at this stage in the game. MOGUERA and SpaceGodzilla Delta were over tuned. King Ghidorah '01 and Biollante Delta even more so, with KG at the top of the meta.

Comparing King Ghidorah '01 to Destoroyah shows how far the power creep has come. Yes Destoroyah does have more health, but KG's shield negates that while King Ghidorah does a lot more damage... while you don't even have to evolve him.

I'd advise using a leader that can hit him, because frankly this season everyone is running him due to how over powered he is (myself included, so can't feign innocene here).

Those leaders are:
  • Mechagodzilla 1993
  • SpaceGodzilla
  • Godzilla Ultima
  • Godzilla 2004
  • Godzilla 2016
  • Mechagodzilla 1974
  • Shin Kamen Rider
  • Gamera
  • Godzilla 1989 Wakasa Bay Version
  • Super Mechagodzilla
  • Orga
  • MOGUERA
  • King Ghidorah 2001
...I might have missed one.

So far next season we have a Destroyah delta and chibi MechaGodzilla. Forget spending money on this season, I'll be hard pressed to want to spend time on it.

The new Destroyah can move INCREDIBLY fast for his size lol. I didn't see if he was getting a movement speed buff from another unit, but man did he haul ass. He's honestly not that scary in combat though. I'm also loving the buffs G54 Tokyo got, since he's become a staple of my team.

- Chibi Mechagodzilla
- Destoroyah variant

What? When we literally have a brand new Godzilla movie opening TODAY with four new unit-worthy kaiju and three other potential ones? :dizzy:

Japan ain't getting the movie theatrically until April 26th. Still feels like a missed opportunity to ride the hype train happening internationally by not at least introducing Evolved G and another variant of Kong, then more units the month after. Apparently, the MV stuff always does extremely well. Their loss.

Ok, the volume is definitely going off when the new Chibi units hit the field. Those voices are the worst.

Has anyone else gotten a lot of mileage out of Gyaos recently? I've also been seeing them crop up in multiplayer more and more often. They're actually really freaking good for what they are, hell mine are able to pull their weight at level 5. These little bastards can absolutely melt certain units once you get the full swarm up. I can only imagine how annoying they are at higher level.s

I've been using them since their introduction. They're a fantastic unit even before they got a buff.

Maybe just me, but the new Destoroyah is giving me a lot of trouble. He's a total pushover when isolated, but with all the Chibi shenanigans going on this season, he's had a lot of opportunities to melt a push that gets momentarily distracted.

Also... anyone blown away that Toho introduced a 4 energy counter for both King Ghidorah 2001 AND Godzilla 2023? Floored by how meta shifting the new Chibi Mechagodzilla+Godzilla unit is.

If a player has no AOE, the Gyaos are down right deadly. Thanks to the new Chibi unit, AOE is probably going to be a lot more common... but at least they lowered the energy cost of the Gyaos which now offsets that a little.

Yeah I kinda take back what I said earlier. The new Destroyah is kinda nutty. His debuff allows him to 2-3 tap just about anything from my experience. Thankfully he's very vulnerable to swarms so Kamakurus and Gyaos have proven to be life savers, same with the new Chibi duo.

Very interesting that when someone else uses Destoroyah (Ariake ver.), he can wipe out basically my entire team in two or three hits, but when I use Destoroyah (Ariake ver.), he gets taken out before even getting a single enemy unit's HP down to half. That's cool.

Placement is absolutely critical with this Destroyah. I've learned the hard way that you can't just throw him out like any other unit, otherwise you end up in situations like you described. Ideally you want him at the very back of your push or flanking.

Chibi Duo + Shinden + Destroyah = extremely powerful combo.

One thing I do enjoy of late is the numeric addition to the stats on the various battle pieces, making these more meaningful. Anyway, thought I would compile a list of attack reach, just to provide a quick cheat sheet that might be helpful to others. This will focus on units with an attack reach greater than 70, as that's the standard attack reach of most leaders like Godzilla 1989, Gigan 1972 and others.

Reach 180
EVA-08 [Sniper Mode]

Reach 120
Super X

Reach 110
Zetton

Reach 100
Godzilla Ultima
Super Mechagodzilla (Leader)
Godzilla Ultima (Leader)

Reach 90
Minilla 1967
Mothra 2019
Gamera 2023 (Leader)

Reach 85
Super Mechagodzilla
"Shin" Godzilla 2016 (Leader)
MOGUERA (Leader)

Reach 80
Ultraman 2022
10th Angel
Godzilla Earth
SpaceGodzilla (Leader)
Godzilla 2004 (Leader)
"Kamen" Masked Rider 2023 (Leader)

Reach 79
Godzilla 1989 Wakasa Bay Version (Leader)
Orga (Leader)

Reach 75
King Ghidorah 2001
King Ghidorah 2019
Kiryu Kai [Hyper Maser attack]
Megalon
Mechagodzilla 1974
MOGUERA
Chibi Mechagodzilla
Mechagodzilla 1993 (Leader)
Fire Rodan (Leader)
King Ghidorah 2001 (Leader)
King Ghidorah 2019 (Leader)
Mechagodzilla 1974 (Leader)

Next season is Aqua Mothra and 2002 Godzilla. Way to swing low, Toho.

Uhh... Does anyone know what Godzilla 2002 being the fastest kaiju in the world is a reference to?? This ability would make more sense for Godzilla '98/Zilla, not Kiryugoji.
