Yes, but who? :?: I have *rarely* seen any photos of G-related Spiral items posted by any collector on the majority of the most prominent FB G collector groups, so the fandom itself doesn't seem to be clamoring for Spiral goods. Something doesn't quite add up here...

My impression is that there is a large group of collectors with fuck-you money who do not really engage with social media or any other groups (presumably because they are busy with other things).
I am aggregating Toho collectible scoops on my Twitter account. Please consider giving me a follow!

There are many collectors on the FB groups who lost their shit over the Spiral 2019 Godzilla vinyl.

I have the vinyl. It’s nice. The sculpt is a little fugly…I prefer the cleaner, rounded style of M1, TYG and even Mondo but the colors really make it pop in person and it’s nice to have a legendary sofubi in hand.

Regarding their more X plus style figures. Jury is still out. I have the Mothra and it’s nice but it’s kind of a one off. The GMK Godzilla seems to be their first big figure in the vinyl world and early reviews seem to show that it’s amazing in hand.

Not sure there’s a huge market for 50cm and bigger figures at over 1k a pop but if you have the money, I can see collectors grabbing a few select pieces here and there as centerpieces in their collects.

Considering the insane amount of money I see very prominent collectors drop on "Gigantic figures" from X-plus regularly, or model kit owners and some the prices they pay for Billiken and MM28 kits, the "high" Spiral prices shouldn't really deter those same collectors.

Fair enough guys, I'll take you word for it....not knocking this company's items for those who like them, just something I personally haven't come across much in terms of Spiral items being displayed/shown on various collector groups compared to recent Mezco/Mondo/Super 7 stuff, so I was just genuinely curious as to why they seem to be selling out so quickly when rarely mentioned anywhere (then again, I only casually view most collector groups and, other than posting on this board a few times a week, don't have a big presence on SMS myself).

(Trying this again... I accidentally posted it in the non-Toho area. Hope I didn't miss a Spiral Toys-specific topic: this was what came up on Search.)

I was really hoping to buy either Spiral Toys' purple colorway of G 2019, or the dark green. But so far, they've offered only the reddish (blue fins) and the burning versions: both, sold out. (This is not my photo... Needless to say, delete if not allowed.)

I tried contacting ST directly, as to whether and when they'll offer the others, but so far, no reply.

Anyone heard anything? Thank you in advance for any news.

I haven't heard anything as far as specific release dates. But I know the first two didn't have the same release date. The "burning" version got posted later. I would imagine we'll see the others have staggered releases.

You're likely right.

It's kind of odd that Spiral Toy (like a lot other businesses) includes contact info on their site, inviting people with questions to "get in touch! Feel free to ask us!", then ignores any such questions. But that's life, isn't it?

Have the GMK, MUTO, and Behemoth ordered but I think I might be done with this company for a while. My Ghidorah arrived damaged and ive spent the past year and a half trying to get a replacement head, and I was told 3/4 times by them (including direct message from Ash via Facebook, he actually reached out to me) that I would be receiving a replacement left Ghidroah head. Now it's been silence since March, despite numerous emails and a message to Ash. Ive been patient and polite throughout all of it, but man... their customer service is non existent and I worry if any of the remaining three things I ordered from them arrives damaged that im screwed. At this point id be fine with them telling me that it's no longer possible, instead of ignoring me all together. I dont plan on reaching out anymore at this point because I dont want to spam them but I will touch on this when I do video reviews of each of the new figures. Sucks cause I like their products overall.

Lol. Seems Spiral is just as shady as I thought they were after announcing the pricing of their Not Marmits. This some golden shit here.

Once again, blatantly taking advantange of a fandom that had been starved for high quality releases for sometime and pricing them as much as a downpayment on a fucking car. 'Least I'm not the only one realizing this now.

Fuck Spiral Studios.

I absolutely love Spiral's stuff. It's beautiful. But that isn't a good look. Not enough to ruin the whole thing for me. But definitely enough to make me hesitant on pulling the trigger on another purchase.

When you represent a company, you don't sink to that sort of level. Even when the customer is an asshat. It's unprofessional. And I say that as someone who detests the "customer is always right" philosophy.

"Hello, this is Spiral Studios. I/We have read your inquiries and are missing some details. Can you please provide us with more evidence of a mistake we made so we can fix it?"

Presumably something like this, with a possible offer to provide something extra on the off chance they genuinely made a mistake or something. If I'm understanding that right, it seems like Spiral Studios purposefully delayed the shipment because of this person's complaints, basically because they don't like them? That's really poor behavior.

Exactly. It's not hard to approach the situation with a bit of class.

My Artisan Dynasty Godzilla 2019 002 came in today. Pre-ordered it way back in September or August. Whenever it was. It's pretty damn glorious. I do wish the orange color came through a bit more, though. Kinda has to be in the right light to get a good look at that color. We haven't heard a ton about this line, though. So I'm curious if they even plan to continue producing the rest of the colors they originally showed off.

I mean, it sounds like these are hand painted by an artist and limited to 30 pieces? So it’s more of an art piece than a general figure release. Not for me, mind you. But not quite the same as selling a general release figure for that much.

Honestly I’m sick of all these “artist collab” trends all over the place. In general, not just kaiju collecting. Everything on the planet has to be some limited exclusive artist partnership with a mega corporation these days. It’s just stupid.
