With Voyager’s Ultraman x Evangelion series coming to its stunning conclusion, should we have a continuity thread for people to announce and put up links to matches part of whatever series they have planned?

I think it can work like a mix of how the Continuity Registry was originally as part of the forums, and as how it does currently with plot descriptions and splitting into arcs and what not.

Yeah, why not? It seems like a good idea, might encourage people to create more series instead of one-shots (not that one-shots are bad or anything )

So as I alluded to, my DBD-tism was intense enough I have prepared a list of potential combatants for if DBD does crossover with Godzilla so we know who to add. (Not happening anytime soon, btw, nothing yet, wait until the Godzilla chapter lol), which was mentioned enough on the KWC discord Fan took the initiative and did them lol

As for why,

Oni: April Fool's but still technically canon game mode where he's large enough to crush Survivors underfoot, mentioned being big enough to crush a plane in a Tome.

Dredge: besides the amorphous body shape thing of Dogora and Starro, Alan Wake tie tome explictly mentions him being chased by a variant that "shook the Earth behind them" and "swallowed building of the curmbling cityscape whole" as it chased them.

Are there any websites that are more reliable for the roster sections than Imgur is? Maybe it's a better a idea to move them somewhere else.

I’m gonna be real with y’all, unless something happens soon, this feels like the beginning of the end. With less matches coming out, the crossovers being let loose meaning the main KWC can poach combatants before we can even add them, and other writers working on KWC matches first because the options here are lessening, I haven’t been feeling good about the state of things lately. It’s why I’ve been going out of my way to add oddball combatants like Agony and Stitch, since the Expanded requirements allow for more creativity in that regard, albeit less than what we had before.

I wouldn't worry too much. KWCE has one thing that KWC doesn't still and that's accessibility. The writing expectations are stricter in the KWC. With KWCE, there's more leeway for younger talents with undeveloped talent to grow. That's my two cents on that anyway.

This is a large part of the reason why I switched the KWCE to the system I did. If it goes a long time without matches, that’s not a problem. It’s not like the KWC, which is a multi-stage process reliant on building up a backlog, it’s just another option. I don’t mind going months without matches because there’s no actual “death” point for the KWCE (unless the forums shut down), just hibernation until someone gets an idea that won’t quite fit into the KWC.

I am absolutely going to look for an alternative to hosting this shit on Imgur though.

In seriousness, the KWCE being way more accessible is what keeps drawing me back. The only way I'll ever stop is if every fighter i ever want to write with gets absorbed into the KWC, and then well, I'll probably be old enough to stop caring about these things and move elsewhere.
