Re: The G-Fest Thread
I wish i could have gone this year. I met a really nice woman at G-Fest last year and would have loved to have met up with her again.
Come fourth, Ghidorah! Great Golden Winged Destroyer; deliver onto us a beautiful demise!

Just did KAIJU BROOKLYN, and that was great. I wonder what this year's G-Fest will bring.

Probably not for another year. Anyways, being Canadian causes major issues travelling to the states due to these troubled times. Those who can attend in coming years have lucked out big time.Godzillaninja2019 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 9:22 pm what are chances of finding the sh monster arts Anguirus or the hyia shimo at gfest this year since they are out now

I've always wanted to attend G-Fest, or any Sci-Fi con for that matter. I heard that "ULTRAMAN THE HERO PREMIERE" is coming to G-Fest, but I don't know any of the specific details besides that.

Re: The G-Fest Thread
The G-Fest movie schedule is up. The two Toho Frankesntein films are playing Thursday afternoon while Godzilla VS Destroyer and Terror of Mechagodzilla are playing Thursday evening. The Friday and Saturday night films are Godzilla X Megagiras and GKOTM2019 respectively. Anyone else think it's pretty insane that G-Fest is, first and foremost, a family convention, yet the Friday and Saturday night movies are always scheduled at 10:30? Not that either is a movie I'd want to go see with my kid, but if I WAS going the idea that families wouldn't be getting back to the hotel until well after midnight is pretty nuts.

The Pickwick is a functioning theater during the day and early night. 10:30 is the earliest they’re able to show the movies after their regular showtimes are finished.Legion1979 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 4:45 pm The G-Fest movie schedule is up. For those of you coming this year, could you please try asking Hiroko Sakurai where they got the idea to have her turned into a giant in episode 32 of Ultraman?

Re: The G-Fest Thread
I wish that they’d show actually good movies for their Saturday and Sunday showings, not like I’m gonna be able to even go to the Sunday screening, but still. Sucks that I’m missing out on the films that I actually liked (and seeing Frankenstein vs. Baragon, a movie I have on DVD but haven’t watched.)
I frequent the KWC and tournament sections because that's all I care about on TK.

Re: The G-Fest Thread
This year was my very first time attending G-Fest. I never really thought Id get to go but after this experience I know for a fact Im going to be doing this every year. This was the single best few days of my entire life, and I seriously mean that.

Love these guys, miss them so much already
I also got to meet some awesome people

Left to right: The Nostalgia Critic, Matt Frank, Sean Sumagaysay

One of my actual best friends in the world, MewlingTea. Awesome to finally meet in person

She got to show off her AWESOME Godzilla 1998 costume. Im so proud of her. We would VC for hours late at night as she worked on it and it was a joy seeing it come together.

Had to take a detour to see the Queen herself. I went to the Field Museum with FishLawyer. It was so awesome to finally meet him. He's one of the nicest guys on the planet and an all round awesome dude.

And of course we had to stop by Giodornos....actually I went there a total of 3 times during the trip LMAO.

This was the display I came up with for all the goodies I got.
I brought the Godzilla poster I made a while back and got it signed by a bunch of awesome people I met there.
Seriously, so much fun, and I didn't even go to any of the panels or screenings, I just went to hang out with people. So pumped for next year.

Im still riding the high. I feel so energized and more engaged in tokusatsu then Ive felt in a long time. Watching Ultraman beat Baltan's ass has made me yearn to finally really get into Ultraman. So much awesomeness.
I hope you get a chance to go sometime, Voyager. Its the best thing in the world. I felt like I finally found my people.
