I like AOC, she’s always come off as someone that’s genuinely believed in what she’s been doing. In contrast to some other long-term politicians, she’s come across as more authentic. That being said, the dems need to stop being overly reliant on a small handful of people to maintain political relevancy, and we shouldn’t spearhead someone just because they exist. Would be more for her becoming a senator or something, rather than running for president. It’s how I feel about Bernie at this point; they shouldn’t be the stars but rather than the motivators.

Thankfully that’s what they’re doing.

AOC is like, a bonafied American success story. She went from a bartender to a popular politician, defeating an incumbent Democrat in one of the biggest upsets of 2018. It seems like Bernie is also looking to make her his successor, of sorts.

This is the first thing I’ve seen conservative media outlets actually begin to criticize (other than endlessly defend/excuse/cultishly lap up). I doubt it’ll be the start of some great movement or anything, but it’s reassuring to see SOME pushback to genuine idiocy.

Trump is moving too fast too confidently, while horrible mistakes such as this happen under his watch. Even the conservative bootlicker brigade will turn on him, if he keeps up this absolute shitshow at this pace. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a greater resistance than seemed possible just a few months ago.
Too much bad stuff is happening to be ignored, and this is coming from an absolute cynic when it comes to having faith in the basic competency of the American people.
