Spoiler:
Accursed Rangers. Just how many times are they going to interrupt my plans!?”

Rambling to himself in the middle of his layer, Goldar felt nothing but hate. Hate for all of Planet Earth. Hate for the hero known as Zordon. Hate at every being who had taken up the mantle of a Power Ranger! They were all his foes, and they saw him as theirs. He had been facing this same team for so long, and yet, he could never get the edge in battle he was looking for.

He needed something to best them. Some sort of strategy he hadn’t thought of. But what?

Much as he hated to admit it, he couldn’t take on the Rangers alone. Not anymore at least. He needed some sort of ally. Not one like Zedd or Repulsa, who would constantly butt heads with him, but one who was powerful, yet dimwitted. One that could easily bend to his will.

Some sort of monster.

If he wanted to pull it off, he needed one closer to their home. One he could manipulate, and they could not plan for in advance. Surely, with how many myths on Earth revolved around monsters and deities, at least a few of them had to be true?

“Of course I’m forcing myself to dig into their history books…” Goldar had muttered.

Looking at the supercomputer in front of him, he began to type in a series of keywords. “Mythical Beasts of the World” it said, with millions of potential candidates popping up in an instant. Typhon, Sekhmet, Baphomet, the Demons of Yamato….

“Wait a tick!” He said. “I heard of that last one!”

Immediately trying to dive in for more information, he read the stories of the deities. Beasts of pure darkness who had ravaged Japan only to be put into a long stasis. There were five in total, all scattered amongst the island. Baragora, the horned God of the Earth, Mosura, the moth Goddess of the Sea, Angira, the armored God of the Ice, Varadaki, the Albino God of the Wind….

And then, the final one. “Yamata No Orochi”....

Its appearance had looked awfully familiar. Three heads attached to a great, golden body, with horns decorating its skulls. It flew with fan-like wings, and had two, lengthy tails.

Where had he seen that before?

“No, it couldn’t be…. A member of the Ghidorah clan, on Earth!?”

He had heard the tales of the golden hydras, passed down in legend. Tales of an entire race of destructive deities, each holding the power to raze entire worlds. They were the most feared beings in the entire universe, wiping out even the most technologically advanced civilizations in one go, until one by one, a majority of them had suddenly disappeared. Many had tried building robot replicas or outright cloning an individual that could match their power, but to no avail.

But this most certainly couldn’t be any duplicate. This was the real deal! And he had the opportunity to put it right in his grasp!

“It’s perfect….” He grinned devilishly while chuckling like a child. “Even the weakest of the Ghidorahs were stronger than the finest men and monsters. Using a being like it would bring even the Megazord to its knees! How could the Power Rangers possibly hope to resist!?”

Checking the exact coordinates, he rushed to give a head start to his plan. Eyeing a strange mountain pass, he had found the target. It hibernated under the frigid ice, deep below the caves. But not for much longer…..

“Brace yourselves, my dear Rangers. Prepare to face the wrath of the almighty KING GHIDORAH!

*******

“Ah… Nice for us to finally have some time off, huh?”

Relaxing on the beaches of Angel Groves, the heroes had put their personas away for the day for some fun in the sun. The usual Red Ranger Jason Lee Scott had opted for a nice tan, while his friends and allies went with their own activities. Some had gone for a few rounds of volleyball, others grabbed onto their surfboards and tried their best to catch a wave. Yet, a few stayed behind, simply wanting to bathe in the rays of a star.

“You said it, J!” Said Kimberly Ann Hart, the Pink Ranger. She had laid on a beach towel not too far behind him. “Think everyone needs some time off. All those kicks I threw out were starting to make my legs ache.”

“And I needed to work on my sports!” Another one of them yelled. “THINK FAST!”

Shooting a powerful serve to her opponent, Trini Kwan had nearly struck down Billy Cranston in a single strike, but the latter had caught it just in time. Going back and forth for a decent amount of time, earning chuckles from all of their friends. Alas, one of them had eventually made a mistake.

POW!

“OOF!” Crashing to the ground, Billy had face planted right on the sand, his hand having missed the ball. Getting back up rather slowly, he shook out the dizziness in his brain. “Aw, man! How could I fumble like that?”

“Snooze ya loose! But you almost had me though!” Trini teased. “Just need a bit more practice.”

“Guess so…. But I’m not giving up just yet! Best out of ten?”

“You’re on!”

Moving back to their grounds, the two friends readied for round two, trying to get in as many as they could before the day came to an end. Alas, said end would come sooner than any of them would have wanted.

Something was preparing to call them all…. But first, Zordon had wanted to do a bit of investigating on his own terms.

******

Outside the boundaries of time and space he loomed, eyeing as Goldar returned to Earth. It was clear the Simian-like alien was up to no good; but what exactly? He planned to stick around to find out….

Goldar had entered a forest that to many, was forbidden turf. Where those who had struggled in the mind had come and made their final decision to leave this world behind. But he had not come for their troubled souls. No, he came for something that had lurked underneath it, hoping it would give him a boon. And it didn’t take long to see what his quarry was meant to be.

Walking down a cavern, the Titan General felt a chill crawl up his spine as the temperature suddenly dropped. Yet beneath the white ice, there was something gold.

“Jackpot!”

Sliding down a hill, he giddily saw his treasure being in sight! Once he awakened the great giant, world conquest was guaranteed! And the very blade he wielded would become the key. Getting right to the middle of the glacial formation, he unsheathed the Grifocalibur and let it light with extraterrestrial flame.

“May this be the beginning of my rule over this land. And all the rest that shall come my way!! MUHUHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!”

Slamming it straight into the ice, everything had immediately begun to crack and shatter, before finally breaking apart in its entirety. Using his wings, he took to the air, preparing to meet all three heads once they had risen. Something that had not taken long, as the entire golden body suddenly shifted and the feet stood on solid ground. Six pairs of eyes had slowly opened, seeing a being that was unknown.

His horns glistened amongst the dark, the crescents almost resembling the true moon. Fins rested on the sides of its face, almost like great, crooked fangs. Even though the golden scales didn't glow like in legend, it was such an awesome sight, as if the sun's glow had taken a physical form.

With all three voices, King Ghidorah's call announced his return to the waking world.

“Oh…. Yes! Arise, great King Ghidorah! Fulfill your destiny, and ARISE!!
Spoiler:
MMPR was a bit before my time but I love the tone this match has set! Goldar has the camp of the Showa Ultraman villain, and this is looking to be a good fight! I think our favourite armoured monkey is biting off more than he can chew with ole (or should I say young?) Orochi here.

This is definitely a work in progress and things are bound to change, but I wanted to see what people thought of this...
Spoiler:
War. Even in the vast depths of outer space, it never changes.

Kingdoms and empires fought constantly for planets to conquer. Monsters took on entire civilizations to ensure worlds fell to their reign of destruction. And when the galaxy’s most ruthless tyrants declared it on one another, there was no backing down. The innocents could only stay away while the forces of evil engaged in battle, ready to see who was truly the strongest in the universe.

Only one thing was for certain: when one was desperate enough, they would do anything to even the odds. Anything to win. And even if it made them become absolutely unrecognizable, that was exactly what many individuals would do….

******

Deep in the Triangulum Galaxy, one of the last of the Millenniums sat upon his “throne”. War had been declared on his kind, and he may have been the last line of defense. Yet, in his current form, he most certainly would have no chance against an opponent who was just as ruthless, yet much more nimble and agile.

Thankfully, he had his ways of evening the odds….

One massive hand grabbed the canister, full of otherworldly DNA. Taken from a fool who believed he could take on a king, and had nearly paid the ultimate price. While he still lived, his leftover flesh was quite intriguing to the mutant that had stolen it. Having now taken a liquified state thanks to his subjects, a single drink of it would grant him a similar appearance to the alien, and all of the abilities that would follow. Abilities much needed, considering his opponent.

Robotic in nature, and a tyrant who nearly drove his own homeworld to extinction. A ruthless leader who knew how to use his own powers and wider forces to take over, whether by his deceptive nature, or by brute force. One would have to be just as ruthless, yet also just as tactical, to stand even a sliver of a chance. The Millennians knew that. He knew that. And even if he had ultimately failed, he planned to show them all the fight of their lives.

“MASTER! MASTER! THEY’RE NEAR!”

As one of his followers rushed into the chamber, spilling the news of the enemy’s arrival, he had merely sighed. It was now, or never.

****

Taking the form of a great jet, the leader of the Decepticons eyed his newest quarry.

It was large, filled with cities to make his own, and most importantly, was stacked with stolen Energon. His stolen Energon. These beings had tried using Cybertrons own power for their gain, and its future ruler certainly did not plan on standing for it. As his troops lead the charge, he flew near the back to strategize, eyeing for spies. Missiles shot, lasers flew, and he was ready to conquer another world.

Megatron was ready. And he had brought an army.

Touching down on the rocky landscape, he morphed back into his humanoid stance. The Fusion Cannon strapped at his arms, he spoke his commands with power.

“BURN IT TO THE GROUND, MEN! ALL OF IT!”

Lasers shot, aiming at the tallest towers and tearing them apart. His men followed swiftly, whether shooting at buildings or enemy soldiers. The Millennians tried to keep up, but to no avail as they just kept coming. The Heat Seekers in particular tore everything to shreds, clearing a path for their master. The Decepticon leader marched forward, eyeing only the palace in the distance.

The ruler was there…. Or so he assumed, at least.

Robotic footsteps rattled the ground, going forward until he reached the doors. He kicked it down, waltzing inside. Empty.

“Hmph. I should have expected no less than their king to be a coward.”

…. Suddenly, the lights had begun to flicker. And footsteps rattled through the corridors. Something still lurched, and the sounds of its claws raking against metallic walls was clear. It moved down the steps, yet was only a shadow.

“Hiding in the dark, are you?” Mocked the Decepticon. “Claims to be the king of all he sees, but the only way you try to intimidate me is lurking in the shadows like a boogeyman. What a shame…”

“..... Negative, Decepticon.”

Walking down the steps, the hybrid had revealed its new, full appearance. Having once been a hunchback, the new mix of DNA had made it stand entirely upright, gray scales now overlapped in plumes of silver and blue in the front. The entire head looked like metallic white, yellow eyes now blue pinpricks. The mouth still remained, the ruler of the Millennians having curved it into a smile. And while Megatron could not see it, the entire back of the monster was invisible, showing nothing but red meat underneath, betraying the armored hide that had ultimately still remained.

“Can’t you see? I’ve merely been busy…. Transforming.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!
