Who was the biggest threat?

Post by Gojira1604 »

Which monsters are the biggest threat after King Ghidorah who I think was clearly the biggest threat to humankind. Essentially, who could've driven humanity extinct the fastest? Skar King's army includes Shimo.

Definitely the MUTOs. Had they successfully multiplied in San Francisco, they could've overrun the planet. Godzilla struggled to defeat two MUTOs, he wouldn't last long against a whole horde of them.

Second on the MUTOs. MUTO Prime was more than a match for Godzilla 1 on 1, but wouldn't have done as much long term damage as her progeny, Mechagodzilla just needs an EMP or to wait until his power ran out, Shinomura would be a legit problem akin to the MUTOs but Godzilla was specifically a predator to them, and Skar King/Shimo/his army is just a group of overhyped chumps.
"[GxK] feels like a proof of concept for Legendary to make a film entirely by AI. Monster fights are the one thing it offers and it fucks them mostly too, every other aspect of the film is dogshit and it seems to genuinely mock its audience for watching it."

Of these options, MechaGodzilla was the biggest threat to Godzilla and Kong, but the MUTOs (or Prime) were the biggest threats to Earth as a whole
Top five favorite Monsterverse titans:

1. Godzilla and King Ghidorah equally
2. Methuselah
3. Mecha-Godzilla
4. Doug

Honorable mentions: Tiamat

I'm in agreement with everyone else. The MUTO's were a civilization-ending threat that would have easily brought us "back to the Stone Age" as Ford Brody said. I don't think a single piece of Monarch's equipment would have been able to dispatch either MUTO.

Kong is Ness and Skull Island is apart of Undertale.

Gib money.

Joe Brody was the Brody who said that

I always get them mixed up. Either way, my point was made.

The MUTOs, not just for being the biggest threat but how they were the biggest threat. They didn't have the least bit of interest in wiping out modern human civilization, but their nature meant that was the only possible outcome. One of the best examples of Non-Malicious Monsters in filmdom, imo. :muto: :muto: :muto:
