Yay!

Even more yay!

Oh. Huh. Guess I better finally get around to watching it, then.

>We're getting another version of Ultraman

Oh, no. Now all those people who were going on about Minus One Godzilla are gonna start back up. GigaBash is still way too small to be doubling up on characters like this (in my opinion).

Haven't watched the movie yet either, I hear this incarnation is pretty different power-wise from the Ultras currently in the game. I'm hoping this Rising version incorporates the baby kaiju in his moveset somehow, that'd at least further set him apart from the others.

3 DLC in one year, loving the new development cycle.

I think Godzilla's presence in this game is meant to serve as fodder until we get the next actual Godzilla brawler for next-gen consoles.

Well, Emi is in the trailer, so definitely possible. Not only that, but since this is based off of the movie we will probably get Gigantron, or the one that shows up at the end. No spoilers since you haven’t seen the movie yet (which I would recommend).

If we do I hope its an actual Pipeworks-like 3D brawler and not whatever Gigabash is (isometric brawler? dk).

The utter disrespect G-fans give GigaBash just because it's not a Godzilla-specific game, I swear.

...And, just to clarify, this isn't specifically directed at you two. I've seen plenty of other people make similar comments on various other boards and sites throughout GigaBash's life span.

First two in one characters. Looks fun so far. Also opens the door for one off dlc characters like Kong, or Clover for example.

I dunno. It's cool that we're getting a two-in-one type character, but I can't help but be a little disappointed. I figured we'd get Gigantron along with him/them for sure. Why reveal Ultraman & Emi so blatantly over a month ago if they were the only character we were getting this go-'round? Oh, well. They look fun to play as, at least.

Yeah I was hoping for Gigantron as well but I guess this makes sense on how fast the turnaround seemed to be.

The 2 in one idea is a cool one. I just think we've kinda reached the brim with Ultraman type characters after this. The series has and endless monster list afterall.

Its a fine game for what it is and I do enjoy a lot of the original designs, it just doesn't scratch the Pipeworks itch at all for me.

I feel the same way. I want to see a few more Ultra Kaiju. If they do a pack that's just two Ultra Kaiju, I'll be super keen on that.

Latest DLC is out! Quite a fun duo, pretty easy combos to perform right out the gate. Much more difficult to land the same combos when in S-Class mode, though.

Well, since this seemed to produce results when I asked this right before the Mighty DLC was announced... *ahem*

"When the heck are we getting more GigaBash DLC? It's been ages. Weren't they supposed to be making/releasing DLC at a faster pace? Shouldn't we have had something new at least teased by now? I don't care if it's more original characters or more crossover IPs, I just need more kaiju!"

There, now hopefully something will be announced in the next couple of days or so. :P

One of the devs put out a statement a couple weeks ago on the GigaBash Discord server that touches on this and... I've got good news and bad news. Good news? There's a lot of stuff planned for this year. The bad? Since PRG's a Malaysian studio and their holiday break included Lunar New Years, we likely won't be getting any of it until Q3.
Back from the dead and... not really making the most of it, honestly.

Well the Q3 part is a little sad, but it sounds like they're planning on hitting us with a bunch of new content, so I'm willing to wait. Thanks for the update! :D

To add on they said O3 and a lot of updates so at least we know the game is going to be supported for at least another year and the studio is doing well enough to keep supporting the game.
