Whoa! If you squint your eyes…it really does just sort of look like a Heisei movie. I’m surprised how continually these have gone up in budget.

Heisei? The cinematography and angles very much match most of the Millennium series. If this was a Heisei fight we wouldn't have the creative low angles and generally up close feel.

The group of talking heads reacting+tone+music were mostly what I was referring too. Very reminiscent of early Heisei trailers that showed a few monsters clashing and not much else. Also, that final attack King Ghidorah uses is scrapped move he had in the 1991 film where the different heads fiire different beams.

Kinda curious about something though. The last two were pretty long, and I assume this is going to top it? At this point, they have enough footage to shoot some extra actor scenes and stitch it all together into one mini movie. There is a very loose narrative.

Also brings up the question of whether there will be another surprise, like MG appearing or Gigan coming back.

Ghidorah last year looked pretty ratty. I imagine they heavily refurbished the prop for its starring role! (Looks like it, at least)

Got that Heisei feel too with the way the trailer was put together. Also there was a random King Caesar-esque growl around the 26 second mark (could always be just a generic grunt they threw in there though). With the way the characters are stressing Ghidorah whooping Godzilla and JJ, feels like it's leading up to something.

The trailer plays up the "both JJ and Godzilla can't defeat the monster on their own" angle, so, coupled with the growl that GigaBowserG already mentioned, I'm guessing King Caesar will be the surprise third monster to help out.

You think this is set in the GMK universe? But like far in the future after the events of the film. Like another Godzilla shows up (using the FinalGoji design), encounters Hedorah, Gigan and Jet Jaguar, then King Ghidorah (but a different one despite looking similar to the Thousand Year Old Dragon) shows up and begins wrecking havoc.

Like we know that they said that this Ghidorah looks very similar (appearance wise) to the "Ghidorah from our country". Who do you think that Ghidorah looks like. It's GMK's design. But they also mentioned that "It's ecology and aggressiveness are very different". GMK Ghidorah was a guardian of Japan, this one seems to be it's polar opposite (typical Ghidorah stuff).

Can confirm, at the 27 second mark that's definitely Caesar's growl.

Definitely Caesar's roar. Suprised no gemstone short this year.

It would not surprise me to have Godzilla and JJ overwhelmed, but then KC jumps in to balance the odds. Three heads against three heads.

It looks very good, and I can't wait to see it.

Assuming it's even the plan to have Caesar involved, which I highly doubt. Like the other guy said, It's just a generic growl they probably tossed in randomly.

I dunno, that roar is pretty closely associated with King Caesar (well, and King Kong, but he's obviously not gonna show up) for them to just throw it in as a random unrelated roar for either Ghidorah or Godzilla. No one would be saying that if it were Rodan's or Anguirus' roar. Not to mention, it's not just Ghidorah's 60th anniversary, it's King Caesar's 50th, and the trailer is very clearly showing that Godzilla and Jet Jaguar can't beat Ghidorah on their own. And hey, if GMK Ghidorah, GFW Hedorah, and GFW Godzilla have all survived long enough to make these shorts (thought with some repairs, of course), then thinking that GFW King Caesar could make an appearance isn't completely unreasonable. Sure, nothing in this trailer confirms it (though, again, his roar being heard out of nowhere is kind of suspicious), but it's not an entirely crazy theory.

Aside from that, the trailer looks fun, and even if it's just Godzilla and Jet Jaguar against King Ghidorah, that'll be a fun fight. It'll be nice to see Ghidorah and Jet Jaguar fight for the very first time.

Ooh, or what about Kiryu? What if Kiryu shows up to help them, since it's Mechagodzilla's 50th anniversary?

They made an effort to introduce JJ and King Ghidorah in the last short, so I do think it’s likely King Ceaser will join the fray. Would be cool to see King Ceaser, even if GFW suit, be able to act like it’s more original self by being heroic and reflecting beams. That’s sort of what the Hedorah short was; giving a monster more of a moment than GFW.

I can very easily imagine Jet Jaguar and King Ceaser holding the left and right neck back respectively, while Godzilla charges up a beam and blasts away the core.

Also, makes selling the GFW Ceaser figure easier. Remember how the GFW Hedorah figure already came out?

^Regardless, KC going against Ghidorah has been a dream match of mine for years. I'm happy that it might become a reality.

It would make sense to throw Ceasar in there. Had gemstone been announced I could have seen them doing Mechagodzilla and Ceasar being added to g fest 5.

We'll we're just a month away and atleast this had added excitement back to the board.

Oh that's exciting! I came to this thread wanting to asking who's growl that is. It sounded kind of like FW Godzilla, but not quite. This will be cool!

This just reminds me I've still not watched any of the previous shorts, God. Sounds like fun!
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.
