Got mine in today. Looks great, identical to the Japanese release (they didn't even change the packaging to reflect that there are English and Spanish subs). Nice that you can choose which language you want the menus to be in. The subs appear to be identical to the theatrical release.

Time to sell off my Japanese-only version!

So I popped it in the old theater and got a little nervous. Apparently this bluray doesn't like it (or maybe my player) when you intentionally select dolby atmos. It put it in Dolby True HD and I heard nothing but silence. Went back to the main menu and silence. Popped it out the player and put it back in, selected English and hit play. Luckily it worked out fine. I was a bit freaked out that Toho had shipped me some defective bluray.

Just tested out the Odo Island attack scene and I got to tweak things on my receiver settings. Video is great, audio isn't what I remember from IMAX but they always compress audio for home video. It seems fine though. Some of the highs are a little lacking here and there but the bass seems fine.

I noticed when I received my package is that one of the few bits in English anywhere on the golden sleeve says "For sale only in Japan." Toho breaking its own rules!

Forgive me if this has been brought up before in this thread, But I see there is another release of this coming on November 19th according to amazon. will this be dubbed or subbed and will Minus Color be included?

Just to confirm, I’ve got the Japanese 4K big box set with the MMS. No English subtitles. I don’t mind cause I saw the film 4 times raw, but be aware if you’re buying these secondhand.

Anyone having audio issues with the recent Godzilla Store release (Japanese edition w/English subs)? None of the discs have any audio when I try to play them in my LG Blu-ray player, but they play just fine in my PS5. Unsure of the model of my player right now, but it’s region-free, so I’m assuming the problem has something to do with that.
