It's a boring result no matter who wins now. I guess Shodai winning would be slightly less boring than Mire getting two in a row.

Why do we allow previous winners to come back for tournaments again?

That's a good suggestion. We ban Shodai and Mire.

Shodai wins

This will not happen because Desu WILL win and Heisei will reign Supreme as the true epitome of Godzilla design. Do not fret.

Thus far, nobody has won it twice. I’ve repeatedly asked for the public’s insight. It largely goes unanswered. How would we then reincorporate these designs?

I think it’s also important to note what a non factor Mire was in the first tournament. Sure, it made the eight. But I think it was somewhat surprising that it won the second tournament.

I am fret. I have a feeling Grandpa Shodai is about to pull a Grover Cleveland.

We'll find out if it burns the competition.

Hoping for a Heisei win here. Would be pretty sick. I love '54, but it's just boring to see it atop so many lists. An upset of any kind would be welcome. lol

It’s happening! Desu for me represents to me the culmination of all Kawakita’s effort and almost a personification of his style.

Man, I just might have to abstain from this vote. Both designs serve their movies very well and I really can't decide.

Eh, I'd rather see Desu take it.

Desu is a pale shadow compared to Shodai.

Much like their respective movies.

It's a tough choice, but DesuGoji has more visual interest than Shodai. DesuGoji just might win this year.

Finally! A victory for Heisei! We will see you all here at the same spot in 2 years for the losers bracket! But before I ask the admins to close this thread, I’ll put up some more polls in an attempt to improve future tournaments.
