Spoiler:
Nature didn't know morality the way human beings did. In a way, that's what made humanity unique compared to the living beings around them, they weren't restricted to their basic instincts. They acted out of principles, things one should do and what one should not do. What was right, what was wrong, and why people thought the way they did. Animals in this regard were simpler creatures.

They had no such inhibitions because survival simply had no place for it. One had to do what needed to be done if they wanted to see another day. This sense of need created the natural order... and it could create living nightmares for those with the shorter end of the stick. Such was the case for the last of the Rodan line. The male had been in search for shelter alongside his mate for what felt liken months.

A thunderstorm had loomed over their heads all the while, dark grey skies painted with shades of white from the lightning strikes. With the female being pregnant, they couldn't afford to stay in the open. To make matters worse, she was going into labor and obviously couldn't go on. They did have some form of luck as she found a cave alongside a beach.

The pair landed in the cave so the female could rest and let the process run its course. The male on the other hand needed to continue the search; the beach was too close to the water. The egg would not be safe here for long. As such, he made sure she would be alright on her own before continuing to find a place for them. Eventually, he found a rather large hill.

For their situation, it was perfect. Their rather large size meant they could survey the landscape without straining themselves. All the trees around them also meant they could build a nest. He just needed to carry her and the egg back to it and they should be secure. With a sense of hope, he would go make his way back to the cave.

When he made his way back, he called out to her to tell her the news. He would never get a response from her, something he found strange until he thought about it. It was likely that she was asleep. It made sense given how much of her energy had to be spent bringing their spawn into the world. He descended back to the cave where he saw bits of eggshell... and a sense of worry began to lodge itself in his throat.

She had just given birth, there was no way the egg had hatched this early. When he turned toward the cave, he saw a hideous sea creature releasing his mate from its clutches. It had olive green scales covering its body with a darker green for its carapace. Its face was peculiarly shaped, resembling cut up fruit with beady black eyes at the sides of its face. Lastly, it had two main tentacles holding its body with multiple others hand out of its front.

His mate was covered in blood as well as a strange black substance, her body physically drained. The truth twisted something ugly inside him and he couldn't handle it. His eyes were seeing red, boiling hatred threatened to burst out of his chest, and his screech releasing all of this pierced the heavens! C-Rex's mind blared alarmed as he turned to see the charging pterodactyl. He should've been here; he should've protected them and yet he didn't... the only thing left was to avenge them!

Looking good so far! Looks like C-Rex is in for a rough time!

A short snippet of some i'm writting as a stress reliever ;). Feedback would be appreciate
Spoiler:
Extinction has arrived.

A primeval squadron stood in a circle around an extraterrestrial foe, snarling and growling at the tricephalous horror that had the nerve of invading their home. None of them knew what forces had driven this devilish fiend into their territory, but they knew it was no natural inhabitant of the lands they called home, and for that it shall die. Normally, this set of creatures would have never cooperated, as they all seek their own personal safety over anything else, but the aura surrounding this multi-headed nightmare agitated and drove the prehistoric warriors to come face him.

The saurians ached with the unexplainable desire to tear the winged snake apart, eyes looking for every possible weak point they could dig their sharp fangs into. Standing in front of the blood thirsty crew was perhaps the most eager of them, a bipedal reptile of outright posture and bumpy green scales, a beast that in modern times had come to be known as the King of Dinosaurs: The Godzillasaurus. Standing behind him was the strange array of monsters that had decided to aid him in this confrontation; a horned reptilian prince, a whip-handed burrower, a triphibian wonder and a ferocious super-evolved allosaurus.

Very cool stuff, should be an exciting match for sure.

For feedback, only things that stick out to me:
Spoiler:
“Normally, this set of creatures would have never cooperated, as they all seek their own personal safety over anything else”, seek should be sought.

“blood thirsty crew” bloodthirsty is one word.

“bipedal reptile of outright posture” outright should be upright.

And in the last sentence, one more comma, after “triphibian wonder”.

Ayy thanks! Yeah im still working on some of the grammar, just started this today so i´m likely gonna do a couple revisions once its done. The upright posture one was more of a typo tho, so that's more on me lol

Currently writing a new match to get back into the groove of it, let’s see if you can guess the combatants!
Spoiler:
More than a quarter of a century ago, Japan faced the threat of the Futurians.

A small group of people from the future who went to the government, claiming to have the ultimate solution to an ultimate problem: Godzilla, King of the Monsters. The nuclear saurian, they said, would be responsible for Japan’s total destruction in the coming years, however, they could save the country by preventing his mutation on Lagos Island, transporting the dinosaur away from where the atomic fires of man would scorch him.

In reality, this was nothing more than a ruse. The Futurians had no intention of “saving Japan”, instead wanting to prevent it from becoming a superpower in their time. In place of Godzilla, they mutated three pets from the future into a terrible dragon of gold with three heads. The country was powerless as King Ghidorah descended upon it, tearing through infrastructure and populace alike. In their desperation, Japan decided to side with the devil they once knew, and sent a nuclear submarine to empower the dinosaur that would become Godzilla.

However, the Futurians made a crucial mistake in their plans: Godzilla’s legacy had not been erased, and the submarine only made him stronger. The two titans soon fought each other, the saurian critically wounding King Ghidorah and sending him to the bottom of the ocean, nearly dead. That wasn’t the end of the struggle between the two however, as one of the Futurians, defecting from her peers’ goals, enhanced the fallen Ghidorah into a cyborg and fought Godzilla, eventually sending both out to sea where the Monster King downed his rival for the final time.

Though that marked the end of King Ghidorah, Godzilla’s story would not end there. He would fight several other challengers, some on the benevolent side and others more malicious in nature, until he eventually died from his temperature overloading and his body melting down in 1996, right after he vanquished the life-ending mutant known as Destoroyah. The Monster King’s son continued his legacy, posthumously being granted his energy and mutating into a force that surpassed even his father.

With the threat of King Ghidorah now in the past, many over the years had forgotten about the three-headed terror, dismissing him as another threat to the country that had been summarily vanquished. Unbeknownst to them, the dragon had his own legacy, one that struck fear into the hearts of all that knew of it.

The genetic material of the Dorats that would be fused into one being had its origins in a far greater threat from space. Legends spoke of a draconic demon that would go from planet to planet, summarily extinguishing all life for nothing more than sadistic joy in their destruction. The beast that had been controlled by the Futurians was nothing more than a mere shadow of the true King Ghidorah that had terrorized the cosmos for millennia. Once, the monster went down to Earth, wiping out nearly all life, before leaving the desolated planet for more worlds to destroy.

Now, over sixty-five million years later, the King of Terror would return to terrorize the world of man.

Spoiler:
As kaiju battles became more and more common, a market of sorts had grown from them. Children looked up to kaiju, seeing something that should be seen as horrifying as amazing. Adults wanted to see the giants battle, knowing what kind of display they would witness. Merchandise was being made of them and the most popular flew off the shelves. Suffice it to say, people had gone from being afraid of kaiju into creating a Fandom for them.

Like any Fandom, there would be people wanting to take advantage of it for the profit they would no doubt (in their minds) receive. Such was the creation of live broadcasters for the subject. Not reporters wanting a scoop or any such thing, people shooting videos of kaiju and putting them online. That's what the two people currently staying in New York were aiming to do.

News of little Tyrannosaurus resemling creatures and giant bugs appeared all over the news. While the military obviously took action, so did the broadcasters seeing dollar signs. One of them sat on his handheld refrigerator, a tall and lanky man wearing dirty clothes. He hadn't bathed in weeks, mostly due to not being able to with the commotion about. What he could do was drink as he held a beer in his hand, spinning it around in his hand.

Next to him was a blonde with very large proportions across her body. While he kept a look out for the kaiju, she checked on the state of their equipment. Neither task was easy due to the condition of the hotel, but nonetheless they did what they could.

"Even if we do see them, how are we support to record them in all this darkness?" He asked incredulously before chugging his beer and throwing it to the ground.

"Just let me worry about that, I've got you covered" She answered, staring out into the darkness.

"Last time I let you do that, we had these things to deal with" He muttered in response, giant corpses of bugs littered across the room.

The hotel they decided to stay in wound up overrun by the creatures in their ensuing war. Loud cries of pain once echoed in the halls as everyone who could escaped leaving the place abandoned. Nonetheless, the show needed to go on and they were recklessly confident they could get it done. Around the back of the man was his hunting rifle, the woman keeping the bullet cases in her purse.

Suddenly, banging rang in their door. Nonplussed by the distraction, the woman walked toward the door. Outside of it, one of the little T-Rex resembling creatures stared into the door.

Clicking her tongue at the creature at their door, the girl turned toward the man who raised an eyebrow toward her.

"Ralph, we have a visitor" she said

"I need to keep my eyes peeled on the action, can you do something about it Shanty?" Ralph asked her.

Shrugging her shoulders, Shanty took out her pepper spray and opened the door. Before the kaiju could roar, she sprayed it right down his throat. The creature choked and sputtered as she pulled it from the hall into the bathroom before locking the door and leaving it there. Ralph looked at her questioningly as a result.

"Hey, you told me to deal with it and I did" she said, putting the pepper spray back.

"That's right, I did... and you're idea to do that was to lock it in our bathroom?" He asked. When she answered with "That's right" with a trimmed eyebrow raised he continued with "In other words, locking it in WITH US?"

She waved him off saying "It's not like we could stay in this room anyway with these things around" before making her way to the window.

"That's not the point... oh forget it, thanks I guess" he responded before following him up the fire escape, carrying his fridge as they made their way up.

"Now was that so hard?" She teasingly asked before getting pushed up the stairs by her disgruntled partner.

Eventually they made it to the top of the building and placed their belongings there. They had a better view on the roof, but they only saw the lights from the remaining lights of an empty street. Taking out his phone, he made a call to their informant. On the other side of the video call was a dark skinned man with a mustache and bobcut.

"Okay Raj, you said the kaiju were coming here by military trackers. We're here, have been here for hours, and still nothing" Ralph told him.

"Listen, they're not going to show up at your convenience. Just have some patience, this is where our intelligence last sighted them on radar" he said before hanging up.

Ralph let out a heavy groan before looking down the fire escape. He saw the glass break, the baby Zilla crashing into the rail in his tackle. He grabbed his rifle, but the Zilla went the opposite direction of them and ran down. He would've sighed in relief had it not been for the heavy crashes to follow. He looked out the streets, seeing the dust cloud as well as the giant coming out of it.

It resembled the bugs, but significantly bigger and white. It's blue eyes stared out the horizon as it horn protruded from the front. Multiple legs came across its chest as even larger legs carried its massive body. Another hole soon burst from the ground, the other monster in tow. It looked exactly like its young; a Tyrannosaurus with long arms, a boxy head, and spines like Godzilla's.

"Huh, there's the other one too" Shanty said in surprise, preparing her portable laptop.

"Okay, it's showtime... everything ready?" Ralph asked.

"Yeah, still at one hundred percent too..." she mumbled more to herself than him before confirming they were ready.

Clearing his throat, he exaggerated his Jersey accent as he said "What's up everybody, the Kaiju Wrestling League is up and ready! My name is Ralph and this is Shanty!"

"Howdy everybody, we've got a show for you! The pretender to the throne, Zilla, will be going up against the queen Legion!" She said, playing up her western accent.

They angled the laptop so it gave a good look at the kaiju staring each other down.

"If you ask me, I reckon Zilla's got this! He's a smart cookie and that ought to fix his disadvantages right up!" She said, pointing at Zilla.

"Girl, you out of your head?! Look at the size of that thing, Legion will squish that tuna head!" He playfully argued.

"Well, only one way to find out..." and with that, the battle was underway as the kaiju charged one another.

As usual, criticism is appreciated! Also, this is a sequel to this match:

viewtopic.php?p=1927026&hilit=red+and+s ... n#p1927026:
Spoiler:
The red and silver man stared the bipedal dragon down, the kaiju beaten and worn. His black scales cracked and bled while his spines were broken in places. His breath came in heavy and deep as they struggled to pull in oxygen. Despite all of this, The King of the Monsters still looked as strong as when he started this battle. If looks could kill, he would've disintegrated him on the spot.

The man was called an ultra and he himself could hear the organ in his chest beeping and one quick look at his chest would tell him why right away. The color timer was blinking red, telling him he couldn’t keep up this battle for much longer. His sense of duty told him not to back down, but he knew something had to give at some point. Kaiju gathered and watched in awe, seeing their king in the biggest battle they had ever seen him go through. He had enough energy for one last beam, and he had to make it count.

Zoffy brought his arms to his chest, Gojira growling as he anticipated his continued defiance. When he extended his right arm, he fired the strongest beam he had at his disposal... the M87 Beam. Gojira would’ve ducked under the beam, but he remembered the pit behind him for a moment. He couldn’t afford to duck under the beam... not with what would’ve been lost. The only thing left to do was close his eyes as he allowed the beam to overtake him.

Smoke swallowed him as a large explosion slammed into him, the kaiju around them watching intently. The ultra never took his eyes off the dust cloud for even a minute, prepared for anything. Godzilla wasn’t dead, he had thrown everything and the kitchen sink at him and he still hadn’t died from it. He couldn’t take victory for granted. When the smoke cleared, he saw the outline of the king.

It was as he thought, even his absolute strongest strike was not enough to kill him. When he saw Gojira himself however, it was clear he was far from unharmed at the very least. His crossed eyes were glazed over as his body swayed in the wind. He let out a weak groan before he finally fell on his side, falling unconscious. As the audience watched in shock, The ultra breathed in a sigh of relief.

At last, the battle was finally over... the King of the Monsters had fallen. Eventually, Gojira would leave the island of Pangaea never to return. Now that he showed the ultimate form of weakness, his enemies would begin to rise and try their own hands at overthrowing him. If he was to protect his heir, he couldn’t stay. He just hoped he would be okay without him from the depths of his heart.

Zoffy meanwhile had considered his work done. The power Gojira had over the world was something he had been tasked to end. Ultras had the responsibility of promoting peace in the world and part of that was fighting those that prevented that. Now that the problem had been dealt with and this world’s kaiju were free, the natural order would eventually be restored. With that, Zoffy made his leave and flew off to outer space.

This would prove to be true... but it would be no easy transition. The fact of the matter was the kaiju had lived with a monarch for so long that it had been the life they came to know. With him gone, a power vacuum had been created and every creature with some sort of power would fight to take his place. One creature would sit on top of the mountains, watching the warring beasts have their battle. It was a dragon with green scales, yellow symbols and red rudder-like wings decorating his body.

Black and yellow eyes stared down in disgusted disapproval as red lips drew a frown that felt like it had made itself at home on his face for the longest time. Down in the forests and jungles below, kaiju ripped and tore into each other in their lust. In the sky, they fell through the clouds in droves as beams flew across like fireworks. In the sea, the ocean was consumed by tidal waves and whirlpools, no doubt the work of one of the strongest sea beasts he ever knew. While he was one of the strongest of them all, he was one of the few creatures in the world to not participate in the war.

He did have power over his own kind, his kin Kyogre and Groudon could attest to that. However, he was not power hungry like so many of them were. As he watched all the violence, he would always ponder one thing... was this what the world was reduced to? Nothing more than a never-ending power struggle? He just wished it would end... and on this day he would get his wish and then some.

Rayquaza noticed the sky become darker as thunder began to fill the air, the first signs of something that would change the world. A green giant allosaurus had its teeth crushing the brown, bipedal dinosaur’s throat when suddenly a lightning bolt shot down startling it. More began raining down, but most other dinosaurs were too focused on fighting. Then the bolts began hitting them, scaring the Allosaurus when the dinosaurs around it screamed in agony before they dropped. The forests around them began to catch fire, making it release the Baranosdragon to flee for its life among others.

From the heavens above, a quadrupedal creature with white skin that resembled armor looked down on the Earth. It had yellow tusks attached to his interestingly shaped head as well as spikes on his tail. Born as a creation of the thunder god Raijn and mythical creature Kirin, this was the lord of thunder Balkzardan. Normally the kaiju god was passive and usually used a strong temperament for battle. However, the violence had pervaded for so long it had finally forced his hand.

The red and silver man had fixed the root of the problem and Balkzardan knew he could fix the core, even if the means would have to be drastic. From this day onwards, a monsoon would consume the subcontinent. Lightning would continue hammering the lands, consuming the world in fire. Creatures and kaiju alike ran as far as they could to stay alive in a land that burned around them. Smoke flew in every direction, adding to the darkness.

This was unnatural, Rayquaza knew this for a fact. There were Pokémon who could control the weather like this. Instincts had told him that this was like that but on a grander scale. The Pokémon knew time was of the essence, so he flew high into the air to investigate. Lo and behold, once he reached the clouds, he saw the one responsible for all of this.

Balkzardan turned toward Rayquaza, curious of the first creature to meet him. Putting his hidden ability known as Air Lock to work, the thunderstorm that ravaged the land came to an end. Balkzardan looked at Rayquaza, confused at his actions. What did this creature think he was doing? All fighting was finally coming to an end!

For any of this suffering to mean anything, it had to reach a point where fighting had completely been wiped from their minds. Rayquaza looked down at the world, seeing nothing but panic and desperation. In his eyes, that time had already been reached and it was time to end this. With a mighty roar that rivaled any kaiju, he ordered that he stopped, or he would force him to stop. Balkzardan’s small yellow eyes narrowed as he turned toward him and stared right into his eyes.

Nobody would stop him from doing what needed to be done... if he had to fight for a better future then so be it. With a bellow, he accepted his challenge. The two beasts stared each other down, the god refusing to be deterred by the mortal. The fate of the world lay in the hands of one of these creatures. With a roar and a dasher faster than the lightning his enemy created, the Sky High Pokémon charged forth to fight for it.

Got a little inspired.
Spoiler:
A child’s breath met the cold breeze. The visualization of his breath was destroyed the moment it was unleashed as he passed through it. He ran through the outskirts, planting each step on the grassy terrain. He stumbled, nearly tripping over the rocks hiding in the tall blades of grass, forcing him to stop for a moment. The helpless child paused for a breather, slowly moving his hands to knees in an attempt to support himself.

A loud signal blared!

One that rattled the entire outskirts and even the closest of cities, as he took a second to admire its size. A starship ten times bigger than all the kaiju he was told stories about, blasting through the azure sky. Yet, it was something he didn’t want to see leave.

Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.

The red and silver child gasped, letting go of his knees, as he bolted towards the object ascending higher into the violet sky.

“Mom!” he cried out with all of his might, reaching for the ever growing distant starship. “Dad!”

His little legs could only take him so far in his attempt to halt the mission. All of his energy he had used was exhausted, his entire body gave out, forcing him to crash on his stomach.

He coughed from the impact, slowly brushing the dirt off the red streaks of his body.

Ace lifted himself up slightly just to see through the blades of grass, obscuring his vision. He was powerless to stop it, closing his eyes as if he was praying for a miracle. A miracle that would cause the ship to turn back around for any reason.

The Ultra slowly opened his eyes to see the last glimmer of the ship disappearing from the violet-red sky. They were gone from his sight and he was left by his lonesome despite promises to return shortly.

He lifted himself up to sit in the field, continuing his gaze onto the star-filled night, awaiting for their return. Ace tightened his grip on the grass, ripping it from the soil as he rubbed it between his digits.

Seconds turned into minutes while minutes turned into hours. His eyes never left the colorful night sky, but his bright yellow eyes dimmed. They were everything to him. They nurtured him and told him he could do anything he set his mind to.

Then, with a signature in the sky, they flew off towards the ship, leaving him where he stood with people he barely knew. Their promise of returning wasn’t enough, as he wanted them back more than anything. He coughed once more as he sniffed in despair. Ace’s entire body went hollow, with the realization of the reality he was cast into kicking in.

He relinquished his hold on the grass, letting it drop beside his knee. “Don’t leave me,” Ace murmured, feeling the utter sensation of defeat.

His head hung low, unbeknownst to him that the universe was about to teach him a cruel lesson in life. One he would take to heart at the cost of everyone, including himself.

I’m guessing this is the sequel to Return Of A Good Man focusing on Ace we were informed of?

Wow. I finished this chapter of the story a lot faster than I thought I would. Well, here we go. Trailer one for "The King and the Devil"!
Spoiler:
It was strange how much life on Earth changed in so little time.

Mere centuries ago, it was a battle between men and monsters, in what would be the decisive fight for Planet Earth. Mankind was never truly the dominant species on the globe; the real ones were simply in hiding. Monsters who towered over every other lifeform in history, and had the strength and speed to match. Tanks that fired against their hides failed to do any damage, and their own naturally built in weapons struck back twice as hard.

It was the age where kaiju ruled the earth.

They came in all shapes and sizes, and would not hesitate to take on every army in the world, and each other. Each and every one of them was something to behold. The fierce dragon Anguirus, the aerial abominable Rodan, the unbelievable triphibian Varan and the primeval carnivore Gorosaurus.

But one stood above the rest. One who was not naturally born. Irradiated by the testing of nuclear bombs, he was forced into such power, and used it to take revenge on those that had wronged him. He was the last of his kind, and had become the first. Even his name had dug fear into the hearts of the most bravehearted souls…

Godzilla.

Nothing alive could possibly stop him. No weapon could possibly manage to injure him. Yet the longer he was around, the more dangerous he became; and every continent soon faced his wrath. Many plans were set in place to stop him, but none had managed to work. But humanity could never back down. Not when the entirety of their species was at stake!

Technology would improve, but there was still no such thing as landing a killing blow on the monster. But perhaps, that should not have been the end goal. If they could not slay the King of all Monsters, then they would make sure he could never wake up to harm anyone else again…

Somewhere over the Japanese Trench, the latest plan had been formed. One that could rid the world of the nuclear devil for good. But it wasn’t a plan enacted alone.

Multiple machines were made to stop Godzilla in his tracks. The aerial battle tanks in the form of the three “Super X’s”, the piercing drill of the Gotengo, and the Mobile Operation Unit Moguera. Together, all three of them struck and wore down Godzilla with all their power, eventually becoming the closest things on Earth to having the living nuclear weapon on the ropes. And with one final blow from Moguera’s Plasma Cannon that knocked him into the depths, another weapon had been fired, aimed right at both of his brains.

Already exhausted from the constant fighting, the powerful, droning frequency was enough to lull the colossus to sleep. Hopefully, to never awaken again.

Cheers erupted across the entire world, and that was just the beginning! As machinery grew further, it became easier to drive the other monsters back. And while the heroic robotics that stopped Godzilla eventually found themselves in conflict that destroyed their inner workings beyond repair, more took their place. Just as large as Moguera was, though simultaneously more humanoid. They wielded weapons themed after guns and swords, and were stronger than any nuclear weapon on Earth!

They were named The Gundam.

Life went on, and kaiju attacks had become less and less frequent. Centuries had gone by, and eventually they had reached a point they were stopped entirely. They were bits of history almost never brought up by historians, and the only time their stories were told was to children in the form of myths and legends. The devastation they had caused humanity were essentially ignored, and the exact details long since overlooked.

In fact, one could argue the only enemy man eventually made during the current timeframe… was man.

At least, until one fateful day. Where a new foe entered the scene, and the past came to bite them all.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

Got no idea if you are familiar with some of this franchise but just wondering to be clear if you are aware that Gundam is a specific Type of Mech under the classification of Mobile Suit and that not all Mobile Suit's from it's franchise are called Gundam's, couldn't tell since it seemed to imply all the more humanoid mech's are just called Gundam from what im reading from this.

Also when you say Moguera's size how big are we talking here his typical size and are Mobile Suits scaled up here?

i am also wondering are you going to include any of the Earth Federation and Neo Zeon's Mobile suit's from CCA as fodder or assist assuming that's allowed?

Yeah, the Gundam's being sized up here. I'm learning more about the franchise as I go, but I'm hoping to be as accurate to the Gundam franchise as possible!

And yes, other members of the Earth Federation will show, but won't play apart in the main battle.

I WILL COMPLETE GAMERA VS. GAMERA IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO! I'm genuinely closer to finishing my v Gundam fight even though I started this thing in February jfc that's so embarrassing.
Spoiler:
Asagi had been jolted from a nap for reasons she still wasn’t entirely sure of.

It had begun with a rather normal dream. It was her, along with friends and family, simply having a picnic in the meadows. It was a clear day with not a cloud in the sky, and the hill they rested upon gave the sight to the most beautiful lake…

But then, something had just gone wrong. But bizarrely, she didn’t know exactly what. While dreams never quite made any real amount of sense, something about this one felt more personal to her. More real. The hills split in two, a geyser shot out of the lake, and the land was shrouded in shadow by two shapes. One she knew rather well. It was Gamera, consuming the surrounding flames to use as external Mana attacks.

… Then, what was the other, turtle-like shape fighting him?

Maybe she was looking too into it, but it wasn’t leaving her mind. If there were answers she needed, somehow she needed to find them. At least, at a time when she was less exhausted.

The phone had rung, and for some reason she already had a good feeling on who it was. Sure enough, it was none other than Doctor Mayumi Nagamine, likely on another expedition all things considered. Feeling as if she needed to talk to somebody, she picked up the phone.

“Hello? Mayumi, you there?” She said, in a tone verging on frantic. Obviously, this left Nagamine somewhat concerned, but she kept the conversation as low key as she could.

“Oh, um, hi Asagi! Listen, I just wanted to speak to you real quick. We found something that might peak your interest.” Mayumi replied, trying to keep cool under a tree to escape the blistering heat of the sun.

“... Go on.”

“Well, we were heading to Greece to pick up some old pottery, but we found some odd scroll that we think is supposed to be a philosopher’s story. But we think the writing is Atlantean! We haven’t translated it yet, but there’s one really big picture right in the middle.”

“Does it look familiar to you, in any way?” Asagi had questioned in an odd tone.

“Not really, but it does seem a tad prophetic. There’s a weird saucer in the sky that kind of looks like most UFOs, and there’s a shape in the water that kind of looks like Gamera’s shell. That’s it though. We can’t find out what it means until we get this thing to the nearest computer, so I guess this mystery will have to wait a while…”

Asagi thought for a bit, but smirked as an idea came to her head. “Well, why don’t you stop by on the way back to Japan and lend it to me? We could do a bit more digging together and see what happens! It won’t get me into any trouble.”

“Oh, sure! It’s been a while since we’ve met up to begin with, and nobody knows the depths of Atlantean culture other than you! I’ll be back in three days or so, so try to hold out by then.”

“Alright, don’t worry! I… I will.”

Nagamine knew Asagi well at this point. Even if she didn’t, it wouldn’t take a genius to tell that something was bothering her. “Hey. Are you feeling okay? You sound a bit off.”

Asagi took a moment to breathe and try recollecting before speaking again. “Yeah. Sorry about that, there’s just been some things on my mind lately. I’m hoping this thing can get my mind off it. Or at least, maybe give me a clue or two.”

The two had kept talking for a while, unbeknownst that there were strangers just on the horizon. Two “men” watched them both, trying to figure out the best time to strike. Really, anything they did would be seen as sudden, but it was what their master wanted. Needed even.

Anything to finally complete his endgame.

Spoiler:
A deep trilling caught Gigan’s sensors and the cyborg looked to see his scarab ally gesturing wildly. With a bark, the cyborg followed to where Megalon was pointing. Carefully leaning against the rock formations that formed, the red visor like eye of Nebula Space Hunter M’s pride and joy first narrowed then widened in awe at the sight below.

The massive rocky formations narrowed into a deep bowl, a rocky pit where shapes moved. Giant apes, some only up to the two’s leg, other’s almost to their necks, moved slowly among each other, lit by falling streams of magma around them. Primates grabbed massive pieces of rock and slowly dragged them to half excavated pits or half built structures, barking and hooting to each other. It was tough, back breaking work, with apes occasionally falling only to be dragged up and forced back into it by snarling larger apes, decorated in red paint. The space dinosaur hissed as he watched one use a bone club to beat an ape that dared to bark back- this made things more difficult. He turned to tell Megalon they would have to be careful following this signal, to avoid these guards….only to find his friend already hopping down the rock formations to investigate himself. Sighing and then shrugging, Gigan activated his thrusters and took off in a leap.

Crashing down in the dirt, Megalon let his drills spin as he looked around in interest. The gorillas around him jumped back, low hoots of fear filling them as they looked upon the bug monster. Too curious to be malicious at the moment, the divine beetle stepped forward, grabbing the nearest block of rock and shaking it in interest, startling the ginger youngster who was working it. The ape squealed and grabbed a boulder to stop the bully who took his work before his senior caretaker grabbed him and dragged him away from the stranger. The Seatopian kaiju shook the rock but found nothing interesting. Just your regular obsidian. Why were all these big furry humans so obsessed with moving it then? Couldn’t they see they had plenty of it around them?

He was beginning to trill these questions through his mandibles when one of the Red Striped chimps barreled towards him. With a roar, it slammed it’s spear into the ground and pointed it at him. Another pair of apes flanked towards the burrowing monster from behind. Megalon blinked, cocking his horned head at the trio around him. Snarling, the scarred ape in front of him slammed his hands against his chest and roared, showing how he was a beast to be reckoned with! This fool should back off if he wished to remain alive!

There was a flash of yellow light and a pathetic whimper as the intimidating ape was sent flying by a blast from the end of the beam. The other two guards had a second to blink as their leader went flying off in the distance before with a sickening crunch, they too fell to the ground as their cranuims were clobbered by thick metallic hooks. Snickering to himself, Gigan slammed his hands together and flared his fins as he screeched a call that echoed through the atrium. The surrounding worker apes got the message and began to flee up the sides of the cliff as the Nebulan war machine trotted forward to a giddy Megalon, geeking out over how cool his friend was! Gigan stretched in the not at least humble way possible before he screeched and gestured for them to keep going.

Just as they did, a echoing bellow filled the air around them. Gigan and Megalon turned to the source, seeing a cave at the very end of the pit, hidden in shadow, as around them, fleeing apes froze and slowly began to crawl back. From the inky blackness of the lair, a group of Red Stripes galloped forward, heads down before their master slowly stretched his way through. It was a massive ape, fur patchy but stained deep crimson where it remained, skin unnaturally pale everywhere else. A bone sash, stained yellow from years of use, clicked against his thin chest. His jaw hung, massive fangs keeping it open in a permanent sneer. Blind white pupils narrowed in azure eyes as the ape raised himself, and bellowed once more at the intruders in his kingdom. Leaping forward and slamming down with his fist to catch him, Skar King stood to glower at the rabble rousers....
