Not certain if this is limited to Japan or globally (as of right now this announcement is on the Japanese Tsuburaya Facebook page) but it looks like the film will be released on Prime Video starting November 18th.

I believe that is for Japan only, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they take it to Prime with subtitles.

I’m crossing my fingers for a theatrical release but it seems like they are really taking their time with it.

Just for the sake of curiosity I looked at fandango.com there is one theater in my area that has listings for Shin Ultraman.

January 11 7pm (subbed)
January 12 7pm ( dubbed)

To my knowledge this is the first news I've heard of Shin Ultraman having a dub. I knew Shin Godzilla got one with the DVD/Blu-ray release but for all of us who saw it in the theater, subbed was the only option.

I'm ok either way, but the folks I go with might have an easier time with a dub. Hopefully more showings and theaters will be added. I could make it in the 11th, but the 12th is a Thursday, and I always have commitments on Thursday night.

Darn...I was hoping for more dates. But still at least I can make the one on the 11th. I've seen it subbed already, so I was hoping to hear the dub. Oh well, Seeing the sub on the Big Screen with friends will still be awesome. I'll catch the dub on the *hopefully* eventual Blu Ray release.

Nothing for Regal cinemas yet unfortunately. Our other local theater is showing it but I really hate going over there.

Update to my original post- but it looks like they are slowly adding theaters (I think a majority of them will be listed December 6th?).

Caved and got two for my brother and I on the subtitled showing. He also grew up loving Ultraman/Ultra Q so it would be a lot of fun to see it with him.

Kind of annoyed that the subtitled and dubbed showing are both so close together, and so close to when people get off work. Spacing it out to two weeks would have been nice, along with maybe showing it closer to 8/8:30 to avoid rush hour... but it is what it is I guess.
