Re: New Godzilla movie Directed by Takashi Yamazaki in the Works
The way Takashi Yamazaki talks about the showa ers maybe it will involve Godzilla an another monster.
I kinda wish they would go with the orginal Angurius idea and a new monster and Godzilla have similar powers because they were irradiated the same way.

Nice. Gonna be a long year of speculation. I can't really see any Godzilla traits in the drawing though.Gotschiller wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 7:08 pm Here it is!

Edit: Ok after looking at it a bit longer I can see Godzilla's shape. If this drawing is any indication on how he might look, they're definitely doing something different with the dorsal plates.

Red: Head
Blue: Spines
Green: Tail
Yellow: Beginning of Legs
Purple: what could be hands in a silhouette
I doubt the design will be exactly like this, but it's a very obvious hint. Even in calligraphy, why bother to have specific brushstrokes like that?
Here's an easier way of seeing it, sorry I can't draw the legs right but Imagine they'll be stubbier and more muscular:

If anything looks like we are due another chonkis maximus Godzilla design. And as always I hope they add some reptilian traits.

Who knows, maybe I'm wrong, but I find it interesting I instantly saw that, and others have different interpretations. Maybe this is a Godzilla Rorschach test?

It wasn't clicking with me at first either. I knew I saw a tail, but I wasn't seeing the body. I just looked a little closer and followed the tail to the body and then it started making sense.Gojira2K wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 4:15 amAh, I see, I did not see it how you meant it, I saw it a completely different way.LSD Jellyfish wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 4:06 am

I want a more traditional goji. An updated GhidoGoji would be ideal.

Wait, real talk; have I absolutely lost it in terms of seeing Godzilla in that G-shape? Should I seek psychiatric help for G-tox?

Like, that's definitely clearly Godzilla in that logo. But it's just a logo and it's very stylish and artsy. Nothing about that necessarily represents how Godzilla is going to look in the film.

^ But it might. And what we can see is in line with the other recent Japanese designs, so it's not like this is far-fetched speculation.
But I clearly see G in the G, too, so.
You're so far gone that you're an administrator on an old fashioned message board devoted to Godzilla, and you spend your free time translating old Godzilla manga. Yes, I'd say you need help.LSD Jellyfish wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:11 am Wait, real talk; have I absolutely lost it in terms of seeing Godzilla in that G-shape? I mean, it's possible Godzilla would look like this, but at the same time it could totally be artistic choice. Even if its a sneak peek it's still shrouded in an inky silhouette.
We probably won't see his full design for a good while.

A guy who randomly stumbled upon this place one day, invested much too much time into it, and now appears to be stuck here for all eternity..and strangely enough, i do not regret it!

This. The anatomy is clearly warped to fit the letter G.I hope we're not in for 6 months of people thinking he's going to have these features.Legion1979 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 03, 2022 6:16 am Like, that's definitely clearly Godzilla in that logo. I'm pretty sure this is just a case of pareidolia. The logo might hint towards a theme or style of the movie, but seeing Godzilla in the letter is the stretchiest of stretches.

Oh my lord I didn't even see the G shape...I was so focused on looking for Godzilla himself.
This movie is reportedly to be taking place in the 1940s or something right?
