I heard Sagisu wanted to do the same with the classic Ifukube tracks for Shin Godzilla's soundtrack but Toho didn't give them enough time.

That would've Helped A LOT.

I don't know, I kinda dig the vibe the mono tracks brought to Shin Godzilla. It's something seeing such a modern looking film with a drastically different Godzilla and then hearing the march exactly how you've heard it before, in mono.
Then again, Shin Ultraman soundtrack absolutely slaps in my car with the new mix so...

Toho has posted the first 10 minutes on their YouTube page. Apparently it will only be up for another 24 hours or so but DAMN the trolling starts even sooner than what was posted as the first minute a few weeks back.

Other than the first two (which are just stock footage from the movie), no. That is unless you count the full design of Zarab as a spoiler.

Not sure this is really in the right thread. Sure, it's not a spoiler for the film itself but I'm pretty sure the subject matter is still considered as one.

I was able to attend the NYAFF screening today. Everything was top-notch except for the characters, which sucks when you're dealing with a character-driven franchise. Still would recommend to Godzilla fans as an intro to Ultraman, though.

Oh, it's way more nuts than that. Legion's underselling what happened, if anything.

An actual company, New World Cinemas (absolutely not to be confused with Roger Corman's New World Pictures), was claiming they had the distribution rights when they, in fact, did not. You had to be there for that rollercoaster, it was absolutely insane.
