Re: Godzilla vs Kong Sequel
You know what? This will most likely never happen, but would it be neat if the Rhedosaurus was one of the monsters living in Hollow Earth in this movie? I’m pretty sure WB owns the rights to The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, so I would assume that Legendary would be allowed to do it if they wanted to.

Re: Godzilla vs Kong Sequel
That would be a fun nod to include, I wouldn’t be opposed. Maybe Kong could even have a short skirmish or something with him, or human characters have to flee from Rhedosaurus.Garzon wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 1:24 pm You know what? What if they had him look crocodile-like with spikes to imply Rhedosaurus is related to Godzilla. Like of the same genus.Garzon wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 1:24 pm You know what? I think it might risk looking a bit too similar to Doug at that point imo.Gojira1604 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:37 pmWhat if they had him look crocodile-like with spikes to imply Rhedosaurus is related to Godzilla. Re: Godzilla vs Kong Sequel
I wonder if they will have Doug return in some capacity, now that you mention him. He’s more of a meme than anything, but he sure is cute. I’d be okay with him coming back as a little sidekick for KongGojiSquid wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 5:41 pmI think it might risk looking a bit too similar to Doug at that point imo.Gojira1604 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:37 pm

Idk, if they keep Rhedo's body shape & outline that would be easily prevented. Doug's more of a pudgy toad looking thing.GojiSquid wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 5:41 pmI think it might risk looking a bit too similar to Doug at that point imo.Gojira1604 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:37 pmWhat if they had him look crocodile-like with spikes to imply Rhedosaurus is related to Godzilla. Damn, guess that'll be 2029 then. I wonder if the time jump here is to justify some more sci-fi stuff (maybe some mechs or more masers?)BurningCoolMan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 11:51 am that guy that's getting all those set photos for this movie and the Godzilla show is saying this movie will have another 5 year time skip like GvK

Maybe even to justify Jia's growth if she's in it.GojiSquid wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 2:18 pmDamn, guess that'll be 2029 then. Kaylee Hotlee has aged so 5 years could account for it.Sammy19 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 2:59 amMaybe even to justify Jia's growth if she's in it.GojiSquid wrote: ↑Tue Aug 02, 2022 2:18 pmDamn, guess that'll be 2029 then. Man, with the situation going on with Batgirl, I hope nothing happens to the Monsterverse.

I don't see how any of that relates to the MV. WB has a dumpster fire on its hands for almost everything DC related.

Dude, what's happening is bigger than DC.Mac Daddy MM wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:02 amI don't see how any of that relates to the MV. WB has a dumpster fire on its hands for almost everything DC related.
But the MV is probably safe because these movies weren't meant for exclusive streaming. Whatever this GvsK sequel is, it's going to theaters. So I wouldn't worry.

So what exactly is going on because I'm far from following it. Looks as if they just cancelled before a final cut was made due to them wanting to focus on big budget DC films and inch away from simultaneous/direct to streaming releases for their films.Legion1979 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:22 amDude, what's happening is bigger than DC.Mac Daddy MM wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:02 amI don't see how any of that relates to the MV. Re: Godzilla vs Kong Sequel
WB can't cancel a Monsterverse film anyway, they would just give up their steak in iI. Considering Legendary was going to sue over the last film I imagine Legendary could just find a new partner.

The short version is that the new head of Warners wants to prioritize theatrical releases, like you said. Its not a specific agenda against DC though.Mac Daddy MM wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 10:30 amSo what exactly is going on because I'm far from following it.
