Can the other creatures from the KK (2005) exist in the Monsterverse

It’s no secret that we thought that these 2 creatures were original monsters made for the whole earth


But we found out recently that these are actually from KK (2005) Arachno-claws
Foetodon
So that begs the question, does the other creatures KK(2005) exist in the hollow earth, the apex predator Vastatosaurus rex to the nightmares fuel Carnictis
What are your thoughts?

They are completely original monsters it's just lazy naming but to answer you question I'd imagine a MonsterVerse Gorosaurus would look very similar to a V.Rex

I like this idea, maybe Gorosaurus can be the alpha for the V.Rex for the Monsterverse

I think the names likely stem from someone realizing "Oh shit, we need to name them" so they googled King Kong creatures and picked those. Which doesn't bother me as much because Wingard was at one point set to do a Kong 05 sequel/spinoff so it's a neat connection.

That's interesting, the concept art depicts the crabs with a completely different name.

I imagine that the names being picked for the English audio addon were just a result of the editor in charge hastily searching up similar enough creatures on Google, since atleast from the Arachnid concept art it's evident they are not meant to be the same. Not that I'm complaining, cool to see an incarnation of those critters back in a way

As for the rest it would definitely be awesome to have a V. rex counterpart. Can't have Kong without his obligatory rexnemesis lol. Sauropodish looking Titans could be dope too.

I would rather they not have a generic V-Rex type creature, the only dinosaurs I want to see in the Monsterverse are Gorosaurus and Titanosaurus.

Didn't Jordan Vogt Roberts say that he likes to think the events of KK'33 happened except for Kong being taken off the island? That would explain that enormous triceratops skull that looked relatively fresh. It's possible there might be dinosaurs alive on the island.

There have heen other visitors to Skull Island before so an alternate take on KK'33 is certainly on the table, as far as the Skull Island dinosaurs are concerned I'd say they were wiped out by the Skullcrawlers and if there were any survivors I'm certain the storm killed them off by now.

This is basically already canon because not only this theory of Roberts, but the novelization has Randa mention a film crew who went famously missing near Skull Island and the Wanderer (the boat in the Iwi village that Marlow says has been there longer then him) is the name of the boat in the novel/public domain story.

I'm guessing they tried to take baby Kong and Mama and Papa Kong reacted badly
