I have not seen or heard any credit being given to TJ Storm and/or Terry Notary for the respective portrayals of Godzilla and Kong. Any particular reason Motion Capture wasn't used for this film?

Somehow, some of my friends managed to obtain the Art book. Here are some information they found in the book.
Spoiler:
1.
The Giant Lizard was called “Scaly Quadruped” in the book. It was Wingard's request to make it look similar to Godzilla. It is speculated that Scaly Quadruped might be the ancestral species of Titanus Gojira, or a kind of distant cousin of Titanus Gojira.

2.
The design team used some of Godzilla's design elements to other Hollow Earth Creatures. According to the book, it is important that they all share a dominant look that complemented Godzilla.

3.
One of the unused early script idea, was that a group of drunken men tried to hunt Titans that are relatively tame with shotguns, but we're unfortunately crushed by a woolly mammoth thing.

4.
Kong's Battle Axe was called a “Scepter” in the book. The book described the scene when Kong yanked the axe free as “like the future King Arthur pulling the sword from the stone.”

5.
The description of the axe was as follows
“It looks like a bone from a Godzilla-like creature, with a blade that strongly resembled Godzilla's dorsal fin.”

6.
More concept arts of Kong’s temple. One of those concept arts shows a mural depicting the Gojira/Kong War. In the concept art of the mural, you can see Kongs duking on multiple Godzillas. An intriguing detail, is that a Godzilla was painted blue with a pair of wings. Instead of being painted red like other Godzillas and Kongs.

All very, very interesting.

Just more confirmation for Doug being a Gojira sub species. Wonder if it was a titanus gojira specifically built for eating those crab things in that HE environment

An HE/Godzilla connection is definitely there. Question is why?

Would’ve been cool to see more HE creatures, but how would these explorers have gotten into the HE? HEAV’s are apparently needed, but it sounds like they just waltzed in there somehow

Why of course. Every king needs a scepter, and what scepter better than a giant fucking axe!? Also, “Titans Of The Round Table” when???

So it is a Goji bone and spine. Wonder why it has that translucent red bit though

I’m thinking that the blue creature in the paining might not actually be Godzilla...or is it? IS GOJI GONNA GET WINGS EVENTUALLY????????????

The only time we have seen G with Wings was Fire Godzilla emitting his pulse. Maybe the Kong's were about to win the war, but then one of the last but strongest G's transformed into a Burning Godzilla.

For those that may enjoy it, I've been collecting all the official Mechagodzilla production concepts, key art & renders that I can get my hands on. But I cannot post the imgur album due to "new" user restrictions (I have been a member since 2014 however I don't post much).
As soon as I am allowed I would be happy to post it for your viewing pleasure.

Speaking of which did you get my DM of the image for the blue thing?

Anyway yeah I wonder what that thing could be. Godzilla and Kong are teaming up to fight it so honestly I'm gonna go with it being some other sort of creature. Who knows what it could be though

In the art book there’s a panel that shows some cave paintings. In the cave paintings there’s a panel where you see Kongs and Godzillas (plural) fighting together against a blue flying bipedal creature that looks like Godzilla but doesn’t have as prominent spines as Godzilla and seems to be shooting like blue fire at one of the Kongs

SpaceGodzilla was already here.

Ho yay, can't wait for the fans to ask dumb fanboy questions about the World Serpent, Biollante, Gamera, etc. instead of things that are, you know, actually worthwhile and not a waste of time

And what is an example of these worthwhile questions you would want to ask?

Anyway, my point was that the creatures in the MonsterVerse as a whole have predator - prey relationships; it was not about Godzilla specifically. They simply shouldn't bow and submit. You seem to have misunderstood me.
This simply doesn't make sense since the Titans of the MV are established to have a basic heirchy level of intelligence. Similar to a pack of wolves or lions.

Predator prey relationships don't really make sense for the bigger ones.

What the MV needs is a system on which kaiju fall into and outside the wall of the heirchy.

Hey, can y'all explain why the internet made fun of the line "Godzilla's out there, he's hurting people, and we don't know why" so hard? I never understood why so many people thought it was such a silly line. It makes sense in the context of the series, so...yeah. Please explain

Mostly just because it was repeated so much through all the marketing.

Because the casual observer is always going to see Godzilla as a city-destroying lizard (not that it's even wrong to), so the question of "Why is Godzilla hurting people" is one that kind of answers itself.
