Possibilities post-G14 (outside Legendary Franchise)

I want to point something out.

The LP Godzilla film is going to end up being a very, very different film entirely than any Japanese made Godzilla. Just because someone might enjoy it (whenever it eventually comes out) doesn't mean they're going to automatically start to love the Toho version. Look how many shitheads like the '98 film and attack the Japanese films in favor of it.

Y'know, i'm half surprised a Zilla fanboy hasn't pissed on Honda's grave yet they love this "Real Godzilla."
I still don't have hopes for the movie being a box office boom like some people here like to believe.
I'll go see it, and hope they'll do more movies with Big G, but i really really doubt it.

When you compare the two, thye look nothing alike.
When you compare Gamera and Godzilla they're giant reptilians that shoot fire and fight other monsters. Both started out as bad guys but later became saviors of the world.
Both got reboots.

I didn't ask. I remember he said when he saw G54, he didn't know what to think of it and Toho told him and others not to tell people how the effects were done. Fooled people into thinking it was real or something

You guys... there's a difference between a being ripoff and being derivative. Pretty much every character or story is derivative in some way or another. This true with mythology, religious texts... even Shakespeare.... even Jesus Christ.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. He showed O'Brien's test reel to the Society of American Magicians at a meeting. He didn't make a claim one way or the other, and it was The New York Times that made a fuss, if you can call it that.
