How would you change the Millenium Series?

Post by Godzilla628 »

Since we already have a thread for the Heisei Series on this topic. I thought I should make a thread for the Millenium Series. So my question is "How would you improve the Millenium Films?"....

I think that Gojira 2000 is great just the way it is.

Megaguirus: The black hole launcher would fail in the end, godzilla is just too strong. I would have toned down the science and super jet crap. Cut off the last couple minutes especially (you know, the tacked on freeze frame ending, it was horrible) I would have just ended it with Godzilla walking back into the Ocean and the whole black hole launcher team just sits back and sighs, half expecting that it wouldn't work to begin with.

GMK: This is my favorite Gojira film so I wouldn't change it.

Godailla vs. Kiryu: It has its moments, but they stretched it out and it just feels soul-less. The idea of using Gojira's bones to make Kiryu and the design of Kiryu were good, but it all just feel flat. The lead actress is terrible. I would have just gone full throttle and mashed GxM and Tokyo S.O.S. into one film.

Tokyo S.O.S.: Since tTokyo S.O.S. would have already been made the year before, this frees up an entry where Anguirus and Rodan both make a triumphant return. Shusuke Kaneko returns to direct again, I wish.

Final Wars: Cut out pretty much anything to do with Mutants, cut out all the Matrix stuff. Get rid of the Keanu Reeves look-alike lead actor. Keep Don Frye, keep the Gotengo. Cut the film down to about 80-85 minutes. Keep the ridiculous lead villain and the xillian thing though. Keep most of the intentionally silly moments. This is a colorful film with more going for it (IMO) than the two Kiryu films. Also get a lead actress that doesn't pout and make bug eyes the whole film. (I realize that there are creeps out there that think it is hot when asian girls make stupid looking pouty bug-eyed faces like that, and they are the same creeps supporting the tentacle porn industry.) Don't have a Sum 41 song in the soundtrack. I can go on for a while about this film.

I could go on longer about the last three films that they made, but thats good enough to get the ball rolling.
