Which Unmade Heisei film would've you liked to see?

Post by LegendZilla »

Coming off of a particular thread from the Showa section, I just thought I'd do the same for the Heisei era. Anyways, what unmade film from the Heisei era do you think deserved to see the light of day the most? My choice would be the Godzilla Vs King Kong script. What's yours?

Godzilla vs King Kong, easily

I would love to see how Heisei KK or the Cyborg KK would be/act like. The potential fight would be badass too

Other than that? Godzilla vs Ghost Godzilla. Yeah, yeah, that’d be four Godzilla’s, but it’d be so cool to see Junior fight the original or his adoptive father gone berserk

I'm happy with the seven movies we got just as they are, so none in particular.

That said, I'd also be happy with another Godzilla flick sandwiched between GvSG and GvD that pits Godzilla against a bulky, laser-shooting, Wakasa-built Bagan. Not this, nor this, and not even this - just another mid '90s Godzilla movie with all the expected pros and cons thereof.

Barring that, I'll take dubbed versions of GvSG and GvD in the style of the GvKG, GvM, and lost MGII dubs, but I think that's bending the rules too much.

Honestly Barubaroi would have been tight but there's no way in hell that's getting made.

Would have been cool to get one of those Mothra standalone film attempts before the trilogy.

Great a Bagan thread.

Of the ones I've heard about, I'd say my top three are probably Godzilla vs. The Mysterians, Godzilla vs. Mechani-Kong: Micro Universe In Godzilla, and Godzilla: Legend of the Asuka Fortress.

Godzilla vs the Mysterians? You mean, the one with the cyborg-Gila kaiju? That was official?

Godzilla vs. Varan or Godzilla vs. Deep Sea Life. DSL could have been a cool monster, judging by its design.

As far as I'm aware, it was an actual project that was considered but rejected. It never got beyond the treatment/screenplay phase.

I'm cool with what we got. The Heisei series was really great at taking awesome ideas and turning them into something mediocre.
