Godzilla vs Rhamphorhynchus

Post by Godzillian »

So any one have any idea what this is? Some unproduced Godzilla film? Only info I know is that this comes from the Heisei era. Interesting idea from the looks of it. What do you guys think?

Is the image broken, or is that just me?

The weird part is that the Katakana ヘドラ=Hedorah which makes no sense in context.
Wouldn't be surprised if it was just some bland kaiju meant for fodder similar to the Giant Condor or Giant Octopus.
Rodan is present so maybe it's also a hint at what might have been a redesign?

That could be an early design for Rodan for G vs MG2.

given that they just dropped Rodan above it with no discernible purpose, i'd say that all it really is is a cool piece of art.

Actually I don't buy the Rodan concept as there are three of them in the image.

But there are eggs there. Perhaps it explains how the Godzillasaurus egg got into the nest and Rodan was so protective. Godzilla must've fought 3 Rodans but the last survivor flew away with an egg and hidden it in hopes of continuing his family race.

Just an imaginative thought from that pic.

That explains the Hedorah kana. But if I might ask what is the source? Like is it something put out by TOHO and is that real concept art? Heisei Hedorah would have been awesome.

Wow, cool! So, were these ideas they were considering before settling on bringing back Mothra?

Those are cool creatures. It would have been cool to see Godzilla take on a group of them.

can anyone have better images and / or translate great? I could barely translate (google obv) the things that described the image about Hedora in Heisei: The only """""""new""""""" things are that Hedorah is referred as immortal and that the stud at the bottom center is a new weapon bc u cannot drop the atomic bomb on japan...
