R.I.P. Wataru Mimura. Thank you for helping to craft these films.

Here's an archive of David Milner's December 1994 interview with Mimura.

He did good work for series, and my condolences to his family and friends.

While far from my favorite writer for the franchise, he defiantly left his mark on the franchise. I still had great respect for him and what he tried to do, he was very open in many of the interviews that he did that were translated.

I'm going to watch Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II today in his honor.

Godzilla 2000 is one of my favorite Godzilla films so that's a shame. Also, while I'm not the biggest fan, I like the whacky ideas of Godzilla vs. Megagurius and Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla. MechaGodzilla 2 also featured a lot of neat ideas, with the parasital broodism and Baby Godzilla.

Shame when anyone passes away, and it's sad because he wasn't that old. RIP

Most comic store owners are pretty chill. Just say hey hows it going chit chat for 5 min then ask about how the godzilla comics are. Don't be afraid to talk to them :D

The man who truly cemented Godzilla as a character in the modern era and wrote some of the films that not only made me a fan but some of my fave depictions of the character, as well as human and monster supporting cast.

He will be sorely missed.

First I'm seeing this bit of sad news. Loved GODZILLA 2000. Overall I'm a fan of the man's work, and 67 is just too soon to be taken from us.
Godspeed Wataru Mimura.
