The Official 2021 K.W.C.E. Awards
And so ends the first year of the KWCE under its new leadership! We'd say it went pretty well. Changes were made, but you know what they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. The awards commence as always, for the small but dedicated group of writers who make all this possible! We want to thank everyone who participated this year and wish you all a happy new year, may next year be even better!


Here are the rules:

1) You are allowed to recommend new categories for next year’s awards. Please do not recommend categories already posted.
2) Please list votes as such: Best Writer: A-1 / B) Best KWCE Match: B-4
3) All votes MUST be sent by Jan. 31st. Anything posted after will not be counted. To vote simply post in the topic.
4) You can vote for your own submissions if you wish.
5) 1 vote per person and your first vote is your FINAL vote so make sure you know what you are voting for.

Trivia:
1: This year had the same amount of matches as 2020. 14 standard matches and 1 parody match. It was also the first time our verifiers got to post matches. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

2: Match 72, Monsterverse Godzilla vs Primal Rage, broke the word count record for a non-parody KWCE at 11,563 words… only for match 73, Gipsy Danger, Striker Eureka, Slattern, Leatherback and Otachi vs. Godzilla (1954), to break that record immediately afterwards with 12,190 words. Of course, in the grand tradition, the parody match, Eren Vs Jean, beat them both at a whopping 16,918 words!

3: This year mostly saw veteran writers taking the stage, but we did have one new writer, FatBaconUnicorn! Who also happens to be the second verifier of the KWCE. We look forward to any new writers who will throw their hat in next year.
