Showa kaiju you'd like to see reappear

With Singular Point having been released I thought it was safe to post this.

While these kaiju were referenced design wise in SP (Titanosaurus for Godzilla Aquatilis, Varan for Godzilla Amphibia, Gorosaurus for Godzilla Terrestris, Gabara for Salunga and Megalon for Kumonga), they are the only major Toho/Godzilla kaiju that have not made proper film appearances since the Showa era. Which ones would you like to see reappear the most?

Varan and Gorosaurus are long overdue. They’d be a perfect fit for the MonsterVerse.

I thought about putting Baragon (last seen in GMK) and the GFW crew (Ebirah, Kamacuras, Minilla, Hedorah, Gigan, King Caesar) in the poll but decided to focus on kaiju that haven't appeared at all since the Showa era.

I voted for Varan and Titanosaurus - Varan was an easy choice but between Goro and TItano I went with Titano. Not big on Gabara and Megalon so they were easy to set aside.

Varan with their apparent ability to summon wind present an archetype of monster not seen enough with kaiju,a magic kaiju that is more like the ogre from Puss in Boots: a bestial tyrant with magical tricks but not that bright.

I also have considered that Varan might be extra aggressive to humans compared to other kaiju due to perhaps being found young and raised by humans long ago: thus his territorial instincts are directed against them. You get similar issue with many birds if they are raised only around humans and none of their own times: they'll try to attack any human they don't think of as a potential mate.

Or we could raise Varan's intelligence and them a full on prehistoric wizard.

Varan seems to be leading the pack followed by Goro, Titano and Megalon.

Gabara would have been my third option, but Megalon and Titanosaurus beat him out. Varan coming back has next to no appeal to me.

Just speculating, but I'd say that a lot of fans love the basic tooth-and-claw kaiju for their straightforward simplicity. There's little or no gimmick to them, no crazy superpowers (although Varan toes the line with his flight), just big animal go smash smash. Sometimes that's all you need.

Varan also has the underdog thing going for him: he had one lame movie in the '50s that most people probably haven't seen, and then one blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in DAM. Since then, on film at least*, zip. He's even been passed over in cases like GMK, where Ghidorah came in and terk his jerb. So it seems like he's long overdue for a comeback.

* My own liking for Varan (and he's not one of my favorites or anything, but I do like him) stems mostly from the Random House novels Godzilla vs. The Space Monster and Godzilla 2000, both of which played major roles in introducing me to Godzilla and kaiju generally. Varan was presented as one of the gang on Monster Island in the former book, and had a prominent side story rampaging across Mexico and Texas in the latter. So he's always been very present in Toho's monster lineup for me, not an out of the way sideshow like in the actual film series.

Varan also has a good design. Most of it, I think, comes from the potential of the kaiju. In the film, Varan doesn't have a city rampage, and we've never seen Varan in a fight. It makes people curious about the monster, and we want to see more. We want our curiosity satisfied, and while books can offer that, nothing satisfies like seeing Varan on screen and in action.
