Who is your favourite Gargantua?

Gaira always used to creep me out, so I pick Sanda.

I think Gaira was more interesting of the two. But the two work as a perfect Yin and Yang duo so it's not like Sanda was bad at his job.

I do like both but I think Gaira is a fascinating character. Sanda and Gaira essentially epitomize the nature versus nurture debate. Sanda was raised (if only for a time) by humans and knew kindness and love, Gaira survived on his own in the wild his entire life. I don't think he killed and ate people out of malice so much as instinct. Sanda, not understanding this, becomes understandable angered and attacks his brother but clearly regrets it and tries to reason with him in their final battle to no avail. The one time Gaira found another he could potentially relate to he was, in his views, attacked and betrayed for no reason and can never trust his brother again.

A great tragic character.

While obviously Sanda is important to War of the Gargantuas, I've always seen Gaira as the main monster. The movie revolves around him and he's the main antagonist. He's the catalyst of the film. He's also really unique. Sanda might as well just be Kong/Frankenstien. Gaira on the other hand is a humanoid, who has the unique distinctions of being amphibious and also a man-eater. Sanda has his moments yes, like when he saves his brother, and when he eventually turns on his brother, but for the most part Gaira is the main monster.

Gaira obvi, but Sanda is really awesome. I love the gentle nature he exudes.

I like Sanda. He is a tragic hero. Sanda would like nothing more than peace, but is forced to fight Gaira, whom he sees as a brother. And it all ends with his death.

Which character did I have more fun with? Gaira. He was the scarier one that ran around eating people.

Which Gargantua did I root for? Sanda. He was the good guy that was tragically pitting against his brother to protect the humans that raised him.

Sanda should've been used in Destroy All Monsters. Got nothing against Gorosaurus, but I maybe would've swapped him out in favor of Sanda.

Well they are both stereotypical hero and villain characters so I guess it just comes down to personal preference. This is a tough call for me but I am gonna say Gaira because of his more aquatic nature. Though it is never explicitly stated in the movie I am guessing Gaira is a better swimmer. If not, that would suck to be weak to bright lights and have no benefit to counter it.
