Hmmm, anywhere I can find the M10 cue thing on the internet? I never knew there was to be music in the scene. Pretty shocking considering how iconic it is.

M10 is not available online anywhere as far as I know.

As far as I know, M10 was used for a synthonic cover at around the 2:30 minute markAbudJasemAlBaldawi wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2015 9:46 pm Hmmm, anywhere I can find the M10 cue thing on the internet? I never knew there was to be music in the scene. Pretty shocking considering how iconic it is.
And the cue was recorded in 1999 and appears on the 2-disc Akira Ifukube Soundtrack Anthology (KICC 296/7) on www(dot)godzillamonstermusic(dot)com/KICC296(dot)htm
The CD is on sale, so good luck finding it.
Plus, the AKIRAIFUKUBE ORG link is broken, but thankfully it was archived on web(dot)archive(dot)org/

Re: Akira Ifukube and Godzilla 1954
Wow, I had no idea about the original M10 version, thanks for posting the videos! Really cool to see folks willing to research & reconstruct how it would've been used!
I've read that Ifukube did not want to score a similar scene (where Godzilla's head appears over a hill) in "Mothra vs. Godzilla," so I wonder if it was his choice not to use music here in G'54 as well, or if it was Honda's decision.
Bit of a tangent, but BSX recently has released Bukimisha's a capella versions of Ifukube's music for "Godzilla" and "Rodan." I don't have the release, but it does not seem to have the M10 cue. But it does feature the extended 'Ship Music' and the unused 'Cemetery' cues. I thought it was an orchestral recording, but then I realized it was an a cappella.

Yes, Bukimisha is an a capella group that has recorded various Ifukube musical works (for example, the bonus track on La-La Land's KKvG soundtrack). The music might not have been what you were expecting, but I hope you still enjoyed it!BiitoreinGoji94 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 5:30 pmhttps://drive.google. com/drive/folders/1ldlMUPrwHX7pX8AYnwIEh4lG5PUob6Mx?usp=sharingThe Calico wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:12 am Bit of a tangent, but BSX recently has released Bukimisha's a capella versions of Ifukube's music for "Godzilla" and "Rodan."
