Or they could show all of the dead bodies washing ashore intercut with shots of Godzilla firing his ray. In Cozzicolor.

I could colorize with adobe after effects, use a mask and roto brush and track seperate objects instead of pain stakingly doing it frame by frame. I might try it on Godzilla and post it up one day, just as a test.

That's been taken down, but here's a little behind the scenes kind of trailer for the Colorzilla film.

I'm very interested in seeing this. Some of the stock footage is in pretty good condition. And it adds to the film (if I just ignore the propellers) as I would have liked a more interactive air attack against Godzilla.

That would be neat. Kind of like this?

Its essentially Godzilla turned into a psychotronic kaiju exploitation flick. Just watching some of the real war footage made me sick; one of the reasons this movie is so powerful is that it is humane, the implied violence is more effective, like the woman who is crushed with her children offscreen.

Seeings a real soldier burning to death is horrible enough as it is, but when its put to disco music with psychedelic colors it feels just wrong.

Not sure I ever want to watch the full thing, just not my type of film. Star Godzilla, on the other hand, would be amazing.

If that's the reason everyone allegedly wants to see it, then everyone is going to be disappointed. The colorization is extremely primitive - it's probably the first ever made, not counting the hand-colored movies of the early 20th century - and the result is nothing like your conventional colorization. It's a schizophrenic mess of color filters, seizurific strobing effects, graphic war stock footage and late 70's Italian music. You could call it a trainwreck. That's why people want to see it.

I would like to see the film in color. Then we can REALLY see Godzilla and his 'brown' glory!

Wow, I knew Cozzilla was poorly done but I didn't realize how bad a colorization it was until I watched that trailer. Yikes! o_o Too bad, I would love to see a nice modern-quality colorization of the movie, if only for the novelty of it.

I could be wrong, but I could have sworn Nakajima has gone on record to say that the original Godzilla suit was brown. Hence the brown Japanese figures/model kits.
