Verdict:
King Kong likely has the strength advantage as Godzilla wasn't exactly impressive in melee compared to how he would improve in the future. Godzilla's grappling isn't going to be as effective with Kong as it was with the Kamacuras. However, he does have the long range advantage naturally with a rather effective atomic ray. If King Kong can withstand long enough to bring the fight back to his homefield, he can overpower him anyway though. I think Kong will beat Godzilla once again.

Kong gets folded like a lawn chair. His fight with Gorosaurus is pathetic and showcases very little in the way of skill and ferocity, meaning Godzilla’s gonna tear him to shreds. He’s also got nothing to suggest he can live a shot of the atomic ray, no feats of heat resistance.

Giving this to Godzilla. Kong can build stairs, burrow, and be immune to the radiation of Element X, but that doesn’t help him when he’s on fire. His fight with Gorosaurus was spent getting kicked onto his back several times, and Godzilla can do that same move.
