Pentaceratops sternbergi
VS
Mammut Americanum
Rules: Both are territorial males; both animals are healthy adults.
Battleground: North America
Verdict: I find myself leaning towards the Mastodon. Like its other ceratopsian relatives, Pentaceratops’ skull was light and was not built for full-on charging or ramming—as opposed to the Mastodon, which like modern elephants, was far more capable of doing.
If the dinosaur manages to get on the Mastodon’s side and flail his head, he could succeed in goring a fatal wound in the proboscidean’s body, but more often than not I see the Mastodon either out-shoving the dinosaur or getting in and puncturing him with his tusks.

Mastodon. Too bulky and better built for this.
For Emperor and Empire!
