In terms of durability, the Wonder Duo has this over the Jaegers. But in terms of actual firepower and combat skill, the jaegers are clearly superior to Gigan and Megalon, and should be able to beat them senseless like how Godzilla and Jet Jaguar were. Megalon's napalm blasts and Gigan's flybys are the biggest threat to the jaegers. Abstaining, but leaning the jaegers.

Also, RIP Gigan and Megalon if they try to play dead, only to get a face full of plasma or missiles when the jaegers check for a pulse.

Yeah, playing dead ain’t gonna work against people trained to fight kaiju who keep pushing when they got their guts spilling out.

Hard time coming to a conclusion here. On one hand, the Jaegers have superior firepower and agility, and Gipsy in particular could do some lethal damage if she starts unloading with the plasma caster on one of them. On the other hand, the Jaegers won’t do well when Gigan starts hitting them with his hammer claws, and they don’t really have an answer for his flybys.

I gotta give Gigan and Megalon the advantage due to the former’s flight, unless Gipsy can intercept him in mid-air with the chain-sword and make Gigan carve himself open on it, he’s gonna ruin the Jaegers.

Giving this to the Jaeger duo. To me, at least, the PR verse isn't miles less durable than what Toho's roster has to offer, and given that napalm burns at around average 1000 degrees Celsius, unless there's something I'm missing, that temperature of Megalon's napalm bombs isn't going to be enough to melt the iron that Gipsy is made of. Gipsy and Striker easily have superior firepower to what Gigan and Megalon have packing, and Gipsy is durable enough to withstand whatever Megalon throws at him and keep on trucking, and Striker is fast enough, strong enough, and somewhat durable enough to do the same. The main thing they have to worry about is the buzzsaw and Gigan's flybys, but, they should be able to take them out just as Jet Jaguar and Godzilla did, especially with superior firepower.
