MUTO Prime vs Godzilla (1999)

After his poorly-thought-out match got cancelled before it even began due to accidental law-breaking, Godzilla decides to take his anger out on an adversary allowed in the FMs.

MUTO Prime

VS

Godzilla

Rules: Standard MonsterVerse Scaling; No retreat.

Battleground: The Philippines.

Verdict: I think Godzilla has the greater chance of emerging victorious here. MUTO Prime has never fought a Godzilla with a healing factor, nor one with an atomic ray as incredibly lethal and explosive as that of her opponent. And while her physical strength may batter Godzilla in a similar fashion as Orga did, she won't be able to inflict any wounds that won't be rendered meaningless by Godzilla's regeneration. And if she tries to insert her ovipositors into the Monster King, she'll be leaving herself open to Godzilla's nuclear pulse which will absolutely wreck her ass.

Unless we were to assume that Prime’s roar would shatter this Godzilla’s spines the same as it shattered MV’s, she’d likely win. However, there’s very clear and blatant differences between the two spines in just about every category, so they probably don’t have the same resonance.

Which means that, while Godzilla is going to get thrown around like a ragdoll, once his beams start flying, Prime is gonna regret life hard.

I’m giving this one to Godzilla under certain circumstances. We don’t know if the MUTO’s EMP Powers will weaken the atomic breath of other Godzilla species. Any damage she does to him will be healed very fast if we assume Orga’s regeneration is Organizer G1 at its best. Then there’s the Nuclear Pulse which will be as devastating to MUTO Prime as the one Legendary hit her with, leaving it just up to a stomp to the face to win this one.

But of we go off the assumption that her powers will work on Millenium Godzilla the same as Legendary, I’ll give this one to MUTO Prime. His regeneration is powerful sure, but MUTO Prime is a heavy hitter, able to smack around and toss the legendary. Even with those beefy arms, she was able to swing herself around and over Legendary, showing that she’s also mobile, unlike Orga whose only mobility was large leaps and smacking with his arms. If the EMP will affect him the same as Legendary, his atomic breath is going to be weaker, and her scream might be able to shatter his spines. That leaves her with the ovipositors, and since the spores tend to drain a Godzilla until death, they might do the same here as well to 1999 as he tries to use his atomic breath through shattered spines, draining spores, and a weakening EMP.

If I'm not mistaken, MUTO Prime doesn't have an EMP.

Or is there some behind-the-scenes social-media-bullsh*t that the writer put out on Twitter somewhere that I'm not aware of?

Huh, it doesn’t. Thought it would share that with its offspring but my mistake.
