Godzilla (Final Wars) vs. Mechagodzilla Showa (1974)

Verdict:
Godzilla Final Wars should outclass Mechagodzilla in melee due to being faster by a decent margin. His durability holds him back as Mechagodzilla has a whole arsenal to deal with him. Due to mostly relying on long range, this should play to his advantage. If Godzilla can catch up to him, he can likely throttle him and his jumping gives more options to cross the distance than Showa had. I still think Mechagodzilla has the best chance of winning... vs.

Giving it to Godzilla due to his beam, regeneration and melee skills, though after a lot of difficulty. MechaGodzilla’s weapons are gonna tear several new orifices into him, and if Mecha G activates his shield when Godzilla gets in close, the monster king’s gonna be hating life even more.

IIRC, GFW didn’t have any regeneration, or if he did, it was never showcased.

It’s listed in his abilities.
And it’s…kinda showcased, just not in graphic detail like Showa or Heisei. He gets cut by Gigan’s buzz saws, his wrists broken and little holes burned into his shoulders by Monster X, but recovers and keeps fighting from both (with his burns gone in the next shot).
It’s just that G:FW wasn’t as bloody of a movie as GvMG or GvG where Showa Godzilla gets turned into a blood sprinkler.
Speaking of which, either way, FinalGoji is going to be spurting blood in this fight.
