An Average Round of Godzilla: Battle Line

Post by GodzillavsRayquaza »

Godzilla (Heisei), Destoroyah Aggregates x5, Mothra Larva (Heisei), Battra Larva, and Biollante (Flower Beast Form)

VS

Mechagodzilla (Heisei), Kamacuras (Showa) x10, Kong (MV), King Ghidorah (Heisei), and Godzilla Terrestris

Arena: Tokyo

Rules:
* Scaled
* If Mothra Larva survives for 2 minutes, she will become Imago Mothra.
* If Battra survives for 4 minutes, he will become Imago Battra.
* If Biollante survives for 5 minutes, she will transform into the Plant Beast form.
* If Terrestris survives for 7 minutes, he will become Ultima.
* King Ghidorah is acting as though controlled by the Futurians.
* Kong does not have his axe.
* Aggregates cannot shift into Flying Form.

Verdict: Leaning team Godzilla, barely. It depends on if Biollante can last long enough to change into her Plant Beast form. I think she can more often than not, just because she’ll be a low priority target compared to Godzilla and the two divine moths. Godzilla and Larval Battra should be good enough damage sponges for the members of their team to start evolving and dishing out big damage. If Terrestris can then last long enough to become Ultima things get very tricky, but I think Biollante can tilt things in their favor even against him. Ultima’s powerful, but he’s not at all Heisei Godzilla and Biollante working together powerful, especially if one of the moths is still kicking.

Unlike the game, the swarms aren’t doing shit on either side lmao. King Ghidorah and Godzilla will obliterate most of them in a few moments.

The Kamacuras will only exist to be meat shields before they're blasted or torn apart in very short order, leaving Team MechaGodzilla one less asset (or ten if you want to be a purist about it). Now, the Destoroyah aggregates will serve as more troublesome than the mantises, with lethal ranged attacks and melee capability on their side, which will allow the heavier fighters of Team Godzilla a better form of distraction while they go on the attack; however, the aggregates will not last too long against the likes of Heisei Ghidorah and MechaGodzilla, which will thus delete Team Godzilla's meat shields from the battle.

Even in their larval forms, Mothra and Battra are tough opponents, especially the latter. Mothra's tricky with her silk spray and her tendancy to creep up and ambush her opponents, and she's at least durable enough to tank a couple shots of Heisei Godzilla's atomic ray and survive. Battra, on the other hand, is a downright tank with both high durability and two ranged weapons of his own right that will make him a deadly threat to whomever faces him. I can easily see Mothra surviving for two minutes, which means that when she becomes her imago form, the odds will begin to stack heavily against Team MechaGodzilla; Battra is a durable motherf***er, and will more than likely make it long enough to turn into his imago form, which will tilt the odds in Team Godzilla's favor even further.

Biollante needs to be very careful about who she fights. I see her faring best against King Kong; if Heisei Ghidorah or MechaGodzilla start shooting their beams at her, though, she's not even gonna make it to the point where she transforms into her final form. The bio-beast will have to rely on her other allies to deal with the hard-hitters while she hangs back as support fire, duking it out with the God of Skull Island as her best chance of doing something worthwhile while she prepares to turn into something much more useful. If she does transform, however, is where things start to look more gloomy for Team MechaGodzilla. For one, she now has a healing factor. Two, she has her acidic spray, which will be an absolute nightmare for MechaGodzilla's NT-1 heat shield.

King Kong is a fast, agile, intelligent and effective fighter in of himself, and if he plays his cards right he can overcome Biollante and maybe imago Battra if he manages to get his hands on him--but that's about it. For one, he lacks his axe, so he's at a bigger disadvantage than normal. Two, he's not gonna like when Battra or Mothra start spamming him with their beams, or when Mothra electrocutes him with her wing lightning or worse, covers him with her scales, in which case he's straight up done for. If Biollante transforms into her plant beast form, than he's also pretty screwed as he's fighting a much bigger, stronger, more pissed off Biollante than he remembers, with a healing factor nonetheless. And if he picks a fight with Heisei Godzilla, even if he had the axe he's not getting out of that battle victorious.

King Ghidorah will be a toughie to overcome when he starts spamming his beams and taking to the air, but we've already seen how well he fared against the supercharged Heisei Godzilla, whom he faces again in this battle. The nuclear pulse and anything similar will be hell for him, and if Godzilla's spiral rays start flying and they hit those necks, off with those heads. And if Mothra pulls the same stunt on him that she did with Godzilla in GvM, then Ghidorah's not gonna be enjoying life.

MechaGodzilla is a glass cannon; he's extremely durable to boot and is loaded to the core with a whole array of badass firepower, but in the film we see him in, he's a piss-poor melee fighter, and he's not gonna have fun if any one of his opponents gets in close to him and starts wailing on him. If he's unlucky enough to be caught in Mothra's poisonous powder, I wouldn't be surprised if her electric bolts from her wings will cause him to shut down similarly to how he did in the first fight in GvMGII--and if Biollante's acidic sap ray hits his armor, then he's in for a seriously bad day.

There is one combatant, however, that could seriously turn the tide of the battle if he is not focused on--and that is Godzilla Terrestris. It's tough to say how he ranks as a fighter, considering all we saw him do was curbstomp a very weak Rodan with his atomic halo, but what we do know is this:

A: he has a healing factor.

B: His blood tentacles are not gonna be fun to deal with.

It's if he evolves into Godzilla Ultima, however, that things could get really, really bad for Team Godzilla, and he will need to be the absolute full focus of Team Godzilla's efforts, with everyone using their maximum fighting skill and firepower to beat him, because if that beam hits any one of them... ... ...

Blundergosh help them all.

For now, I'm abstaining.
